« What a great property! My wife and I had our two sets of parents with us for a long weekend in DC. We loved having Lakewood Lodge as our home base for adventures around the county, as well as our refuge when it was time to relax, nap, or cook dinners in. We loved unwinding in the evenings in front of the three-season porch's fireplace with glasses of wine. Beds were all comfy. Kitchen was well equipped. « The property was beautiful! Nice area to sit outside, nice fire pit and because it was chilly, we also used the interior fireplace as well for a nice cozy vibe. The kitchen was very well equipped also! »

« We just love these cottages and the community. It is absolutely beautiful in the summer and winter. Everything is clean and this cottage had all the kitchen utensils and equipment needed. The only think is the upstairs area gets quite warm to due to fireplace having to be on. Maybe install another ceiling fan in the bedroom? We just loved our stay and can't wait to visit again. »

« This rental is a perfect place for a small family or two couples to base their Lake Superior adventure from. There’s enough room for everyone to have their own space as well as room for everyone to get together to play a game or share a meal. Wi-Fi was great and kitchen was stocked appropriately. »

« Great overall. Cabin was clean and cozy but a little heavy with furniture to navigate around. No toliet so thank gooodness I packed some and left a couple rola for the next guests. I’m convinced the giant tadpoles ate all the fish…not even a nibble. The hill going up to the cabin can be tough for someone with health issues.
