I only gave it a 4 because the room I selected was especially small and facing the generator. But, in fairness, this was graduation weekend and everything was sold out unless you wanted to pay $1000 plus for a room at the JW.

Great hotel for exploring the DC area. Nice accommodations, clean,updated,comfortable bed. We did not try the restaurant but walked to several that are close by. Short trip from the hotel to Regan airport.

Rooms were smaller than expected for the price. The room smelled like mildew and it was very muggy. The rooms aren’t very soundproof so you can hear everything in the hallways. But the staff are very friendly and accommodating.

Very close to the White House, public transportation nearby. Very good location all around. Very expensive to really do anything in the area that’s not in the Mall, so be prepared for that. Room was ok kind off a strange decorating theme 90’s contemporary if that makes any sense. All in All it was a good hotel with great location.

2 out of 3 Elevators were out of service the first day we arrived. Room service trays littered the hallway and stayed there for as long as a day. Otherwise, restaurant and staff were more than excellent.

This hotel is not what I expected, it should be marketed as a party hotel. The lobby was extremely loud all the voices from the seating area combined with the loud music made the check in process difficult although Mary did her best and was very nice. She also gave a room on a lower floor so I wouldn’t be disturbed by loud music from the bar upstairs. I find this ironic since I received a text to turn down the volume of my tv at some point. The rooms are small but fine and clean housekeeping did a very good job everyday and were very friendly. I found the valet people a bit off nobody greeted you acted like they weren’t part of the hotel staff, also everybody coming and going used one door even though it was a double door. There was no one to navigate that. Lastly the doors bang loudly when people come and go all hours of the day and night so that did not make for a restful stay, maybe that’s why my tv was a bit loud.

Location was perfect for my agenda. The front desk staff and door man were great. The first day I found hair on one of the towels and it really put me off. Otherwise everything was pretty good.

Great location but unacceptable noise from the rooftop bar on Friday and Saturday. Even when we moved room — 6 floors down — the 2nd night you could still hear it. It half ruined a weekend vacation. Front desk nice and welcoming but small requests didn’t seem to get communicated to housekeeping or bellhop which is just annoying. I wouldn’t stay here again until they closed down the bar. It’s a hotel, not a nightclub.

We ended up with an indoor room, it was very small. The bathroom counter was tiny. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was nice that they gave you waters each day. It was close to a lot of the monuments. It was a nice hotel just super tiny rooms with limited outdoor light.
