We enjoyed the view from this property and the location which was close to the activities we wanted to experience while on vacation. We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed. Overall, it was a good stay.

So happy you enjoyed, it’s out of season the chef left because he doesn’t like to cook for 5 people, hopefully next time you will enjoy the restaurant as well.

Friendly staff .. check-in was smooth, even though we didn't arrive until 8...they had a door to the outside near our room that needed repair..

This property was unsafe for my husband in a wheelchair. The ramps are too steep, and no way to open doors if you did not have help. The room was considered an ADA room. There were no handles around the toilet also the toilet was not an ADA toilet. The bathroom also had dead bugs on the floor, around and in the tub and light fixture above the sink. The television was complicated to work. There was no phone to call the front desk. The refrigerator blocked the heater. We were told we had queen size beds and it really had two full size beds. I won’t recommend this property to anyone.

"My stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired, as there were visible signs of dirt and even fleas present. WE saw you many times passing by you didn't say anything about dirty room our pest control person is coming every two weeks and checking the pet rooms , he came just a day before you arrival so its impossible that you had fleas and our number one is clean rooms and clean hotel so please you came with a very bad mood so its your own problem do not accuse us it's not rue.

We recently stayed at this hotel and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. Certainly, here's another review for you: "My stay at this hotel was far from satisfactory. I would advise against staying at this hotel until they address these issues. We left when we saw how bad the room looked like. We never stayed at this hotel after reviewing the room, and realized that was unsafe to sleep, no lock on the outside door ( and this was a bottom floor) on top of everything.

It’s very disappointing that this people are putting false accusations as a review, our hotel is super clean never had fleas we are taking care of the entire hotel with organic pets services never we had any complaints the opposite only compliments how clean the pet rooms are.We would like to know who is this guest rooms they stayed?

Decent hotel for a short stay
Robert, the desk clerk, was super and made it all worth while with his friendliness and willingness to help. The hotel overlooks the bay. It has a huge parking lot so no trouble for large trailers. It was clean, had a small refrigerator, microwave, TV, table and 2 chairs, and a hair dryer. It also has a tiny coffee maker for that makes just one cup at a time. The bathtub was outdated but had excellent water pressure. The hotel has no air conditioning but it had a ceiling fan and windows that open. Although there are screens on the windows, they were bent and I didn't want to let flies in. Also, the fan was missing a pull string which they should fix. The hotel has a small but comfortable lobby with water and in the morning, coffee (if you get there early enough). You can walk about a third of a mile along the beach to reach the KOA, in case you have friends staying there. Just 4 miles north on Hwy 101 is a good seafood restaurant called Luna Sea and on weekends they have live music and serve drinks outside.

Good budget stay, not a resort or even close.
If you are looking to stay at a resort, this is not a resort. While the staff was super friendly and ultra helpful, the rooms and facility were just average at best. The rooms and their furnishings are outdated. The carpeting is still shag carpeting and there’s very little room to put anything in your room. Things have been removed from the walls, but the holes not filled or if they were filled nothings been painted over. You could definitely tell it needed some refreshing. TV happens to be Roku, but only if you’re willing to scroll through to find anything that’s free that you don’t have a subscription for will you get to watch. We spent a little time as possible there. The restaurant is currently closed so we couldn’t even eat there, but the staff itself was super friendly and willing to accommodate. Probably because there is almost no one else in the hotel. I’ve never been to a hotel where the front desk closes and no one is present during the night. If you are looking for a budget stay then by all means this was a fine choice. The view around the hotel is gorgeous.

Robert was a great host. Gave us great recommendations, helped us find a walking route to the beach. Loved the hotel. Had a vintage charm. The bridge looks cool at night.

The owner was super warm and kind, and she was eager to make our stay as pleasant as possible. There was a bit of a run-down feeling in our room (stains, etc), but it seemed clean and it was comfortable enough!

The staff was pleasant. The gross dirty pool was obviously not available. I purchased a bay view and the initial view was of the pool. When i asked to change rooms, I received a story about the fires and evacuation and dirty diapers (judging by prior reviews even if this was the case it wouldn't have been usable anyways) so it was drained (into the sand in the bay nonetheless) and left green. I was moved without argument. Thankfully. The nose travels thoroughly through the walls and doors. There was no TV available, almost as if they hadn't paid the bill. There was no secured wifi The restaurant was closed with no reopen date The yard was filled with unkempt weeds.

This was NOT at all what it apeared on Expedia. Very rundown.. pool was mossy green garbage were not dumped we had issue checkinh in they tried charging twice be careful when giving cc. Fire alarms kept going off next door. No one around for help or when we checked out. Would Not recommend stay. Restaurant said open but NOT!! Very disappointed

This property does not have what is advertised. The pool and hot tub are not open and that is why I booked this hotel. The restaurant is not open. There is bird crap all over the windows and building. Asked for cleaning of the room. Didn’t happen. Went to get towels at front desk. I was to follow the person to multiple closets and still only was given 1 towel and bathmats to use. I was told I could go to the laundry room if you need more.

We had stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and it's amazing how much decline this property has suffered. The restaurant and bar is now closed, the facilities were filthy, trash was strewn around the outside and in the days that we were there, no one picked up the cups, McDonald's bag, and towels that were at the entrance. There was no cable box, some lights in the room were out, overall this was a terrible experience and Would never recommend this property to anyone else. Especially at the price of $200 per might.

Sandford,You arrived to check into your room with a "terrible" abusive attitude. You didnt even like spending a few minutes filling out your paperwork to check in. I believe your exact words were "we arent getting married, just renting a room." . Your attitude continued from there when a little muscle would have opened the laundry room door (there is no lock on it) and basic streaming knowledge of TV apps would have helped you in working your TV instead of demanding a new TV. We truly hope your time with your sons helped you have a better day.

False/fraudulent advertising
DO NOT STAY HERE! We booked our 2 night hotel stay under the impression that there was a restaurant and pool at the hotel (traveling with a child). Upon arrival, we were told the restaurant was closed and had been for a month and there was no restaurant within any reasonable distance - nor were any arrangements made to arrange any food deliveries etc. This is also when we were advised the pool was closed. We asked for a cancellation as they falsely/fraudulently advertised available amenities. Management refused. We then asked if we could cancel the 2nd night's stay and again we were denied that request. We were not offered any sort of discount or solution to make up for the lack of amenities. We chose to stay at the Best Western instead which had all advertised amenities fully operational and was amazing. Alsi blamed Hotels.com for the false/fraudulent advertising so we checked the Alsi website - https://alsiresort.hotels-oregon.com/en/ and there was no mention of the restaurant or pool being closed! This hotel seems to want your money and take no ownership for false/fraudulent advertising.

Our stay was so amazing. I room was small but comfortable. There is a beautiful Bay next to the resort that is great for kids. There is also beach access very near by. The staff was however the best part of our stay. They all went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. They accommodated our every need while we were there. They also went out of there way to makensure our grandsons were happy. I would definitely book here again.

Not what it seems!
So the advertising on this property needs to be updated. We were wanting a place with a pool, hot tub & food. Well the restaurant is closed. The hot tub needs to be reserved 3hrs in advance so they can turn it on and it is only open until 8pm and the pool was not open. Our room had food on the floor under the foot of the bed. There was no ac. One of the windows had no screen. There was streaming only tv, no local stations. And another thing to know about this quaint little town, on a Saturday night the food places close by 8pm. Overall very disappointed in our stay.

Kimber,We are sorry your stay was not what you expected. When you asked about the pool we offered you passes to the Beach Club just two blocks away. You checked in for one night and arrived after 5:30. FYI- about the coast especially when the ocean is one block away, we have not AC, nor do we advertise AC. It is hard to get local channels as our nearest station is in Portland. Streaming works best in the area and especially with those visitors that like to go on vacation and stay inside and watch TV, while others are out exploring the beach and bay. You chose your location and town, so before you insult the community you might want to do better research on small coastal town. Waldport is a great little quaint town.

Hi John! When you checked in at 5:04 pm many of our guest had not arrived yet. Unfortunately, who you booked through, which was not us, they directly placed you in that room. You booked a standard room that had a sliding glass door leading outside. When you asked for another room with a bay view, we offered you a upstairs bay view room. Yes, those room are more costly. We are sorry you had the misfortune to book online and not get what you want.

This property needs an entire update inside and out. Pool not working (in August)! And the restaurant was closed. Broken toilet seat cover. I cut my foot on broken glass in the carpet. The location is awesome. I’m sorry the facilities did not match.

Hi Rashell!When you arrived at 4:23pm, many of our guests not not yet arrived. Often we get arrivals until midnight or later. We do not advertise that we have air conditioners, because we are one block from the ocean and the clean, natural, cool air from the windows provides plenty of fresh air. However, each room has a ceiling fan. If you had mentioned to us that you wanted to go swimming we would have given you a pass to the Beach Club pool for your enjoyment.Thank you for staying with us.

Hi Gonzalo!When you booked online you could have selected a bay view room. You chose the less expensive standard room. Next time when you book online you may want to call the property directly to confirm you are being placed in a room to your satisfaction.

Had a pool that isn't kept up. Dining room/restaurant closed until further notice. Person at front desk rather rude. This place looks like it was pretty nice once but is in decline.

Hi Cherie!If you had mentioned that you wanted to swim we would have given you a pass to the Beach Club swimming pool, However, when you arrive late in the evening, for one night things do get closed up early and are not available to you..Have a good summer.

Our room had blood on the bed and a broken door that didn’t close all the way. The manager was extremely rude when we were forced to wake her up at 12:00am demanding a new room. She eventually gave us a new room.. that ALSO had blood on the curtains, and some weird stains on the shower curtain. They also DONT actually have a operational restaurant, and the pool was filthy and the area around covered I’m extremely upset.

Hi Justin.I clearly remember getting a call from not you or your wife, but a non registered guest you had staying in your room. Your non registered guest complained that there was blood (upon review), it was juice stains, and I immediately told her I would change the room. Upon review there was no issue with the door, which on that night she said it was the window. She was not very concerned and stated it was ok, she just wanted a refund. I changed your family to a different room. This unregistered guest of yours also called you wife down to the lobby at midnight to discuss your bill, which was lower than stated when you booked through expedia. I heard nothing from you or your wife about any stains in the second room. Your nonregistered guest was clearly upset about her own personal issues and was only looking to create chaos where clearly there was none. Next time you might want to consider who you have staying with you. You, your wife and daughter were very pleasant and nice.

Wouldn’t stay again
It was one of the worst experiences going to a hotel. I travel a lot so I have seen it all. It was really gross, didn’t look clean, looked like a dead body was dismantled in the tub. Service was poor. The sliding door didn’t lock!! It was insane. Luckily we just stopped to sleep in our way, or I would’ve been so upset. Not worth the money!

Hi Amanda,Clearly after trying to cancel you reservations and learning that you could not due to our 24 hour cancellation policy you elected to use the room. I already knew at that point you were going to be critical about everything. When you came to the lobby to complain, I even stated this to you. Upon inspection of your first room, none of the things you stated were true. When you got moved to your second room you mentioned that it was much better. In the future, it is always a good idea to make sure if you are traveling and not in need of the room you booked, to call 24 hours in advance to cancel.
