« The property is very nice. Looked very new inside and very clean. There were a few hiccups. The shower cut off for about 30 minutes in the middle of a shower. There were no linens for the sofa bed. The bar and restaurant are closed on Monday and Tuesday and I wasn't advised of this until I had already arrived in the UK. If it were not for those things, I would have given 5 stars. »

« Great place, a very old property that needs serious money spent on it. The gardens are beautifully maintained. We had two breakfasts and an evening meal, the restaurant was like a geriatric ward, I'm 67 and I reckon I was the youngest there, luckily the staff are (I'm sure) trained in caring for the elderly It's not as grand as you might think »

« Great base to explore IOW (by car), nowhere is very far away.Enjoyed visiting Godshill, Shipwreck Centre, Carisbrooke Castle, Newtown Nature Reserve, Freshwater Bay (great waves!), Cowes, Sandown, Ventnor and Shanklin. Also climbed Bembridge Windmill and had lunch at St Helen's beach.Had a boiler breakdown on first morning so had no hot water for 4 days, happened on the Friday so difficult to find someone to repair it. The home owners were very apologetic (no-one's fault) and did all they could...
