This two-storey, two-bedroom, one bath cottage wraps you in a west coast mix of salvaged, recycled and sustainable materials, with modern accents of cedar, reclaimed wood, concrete floors, steel beams and an outdoor shower. This space creates both a warm and inspiring setting for your enjoyment.
The Space:
Located directly across the street from the world-famous Chesterman Beach, the cottage is a fully detached building, perched on the side of the lot, facing south along the edge of the lush forest. The main floor boasts an open concept living room and kitchen area, with a large island for dining and conversation. There is also a covered front patio, which includes a dining table and outdoor seating, creating the perfect setting for warmer days. Inside, youâll find a cozy and inviting space featuring bedrooms with a minimalist, yet functional design, including queen beds, reclaimed, live-edge accents and bedside tables. Upstairs, you'll enjoy a mezzanine space, to sneak away and work or indulge in some yoga or stretching after your time in the water. The cottage uses a combination of heat pump heating with bedroom baseboards for efficient and sustainable comfort in this well-insulated home. There is a continuous fresh-air ventilation system throughout the cottage.â

Property Surroundings: The cottage is one of two main buildings on the property, nestled the forest and oriented away from the primary residence. The owners live, work, and play at the main house, located at the rear of the property. This is the ownerâs primary and year-round residence. You may occasionally hear the joyful sounds of children at play, though rest assured, theyâll be quiet well before our 10 PM quiet hours. Because this is a family home, the owners will be found working outside on the property, making improvements such as landscaping and other updates. Any maintenance
completed on the property will be carried out during daytime hours only.â

Booking Policies:â
To ensure a comfortable and compliant stay for all guests, we have a strict occupancy limit for our cabin:â Maximum Occupancy: 4 guests, including babies and infants. No exceptions.â
Pet Policy: Only 1 dog is allowed. No cats or additional dogs are permitted. This policy is strictly enforced with no exceptions. Dogs have a pet fee and must be paid for when you make the initial booking
Please do not submit a booking if your group exceeds these limits. If more than 4 guests arrive, we reserve the right to cancel your booking without a refund. This policy is in place to maintain the comfort and safety of all guests and meet occupancy compliance limits.â
Renters agreement must be signed.â
Minimum Stay: A minimum stay of 3 nights is required for all summer bookings and
Canadian statutory holidays. The host could potentially approve a shorter 2 night stay, if
they fill a vacant gap between other bookings.â
Host Availability: ** Please note - if you receive a "Host unavailable" message while the
calendar appears open, please contact us directly. We can override our booking system
for gap-filling reservations during non-peak seasons or last-minute bookings.â
House Rules: **No Parties or Events**: We strictly prohibit parties or events on this
property. It is in a residential neighbourhood.â
Age Requirement: All guests must be at least 25 years old, unless accompanied by their
legal guardians.â

Onsite Owners: The property owners live year-round on this property. They are a family
with young children and a friendly dog, and live in the main house located just behind
the cottage.â
Quiet Hours: We enforce quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am. Please be mindful of noise
levels both inside and outside the premises during these times to maintain a peaceful
environment for all guests and neighbours.â

Cancellation Policy: A 30-day cancellation notice is required.â
Cancellations with the required notice will receive a full refund, minus any pesky Airbnb
booking fees. No refunds will be given for cancellations made without the 30-day notice.â
