Was very alarmed and not comfortable with the owners telling me to do not speak with neighbors or ask questions. Do not tell anyone you booked the home online. Keep your business to yourself and say hi and bye. Don’t answer questions give them business card.We were also asked to text immediately when we arrived and left but got no response when we did.I have stayed with countless Vrbo rentals and never was treated so poorly or felt they didn’t want anyone to know we used Vrbo. This was to be a relaxing time and between the weird emoji rules of keeping your mouth shut and extra fees to check on felony- sex offender list, this was the worst rental I have experienced. I was also curious if the community had the same background checks. Will not return and I go to Tampa 3-4 times a year. Going in October and decided to stay at a hotel where I’d feel safer!
