Chambre refaite a neuf, spacieuse et agreable. Seul petit bemol: pas de chauffage dans la salle de bains (il faisait 2 C ce matin). Chambre assez bruyante a cause de la musique du bar de l'hotel.

Passé deux nuits. Rapport qualité/prix excellent Ayant aussi passé 2 nuits au DOLPHIN Hôtel, nous préférons The Grand Hôtel.

I only stayed one night but it was a very comfortable one and the staff were very helpful. The venue is next to the station, so very convenient from that perspective.

Swansea is a fine city; but this hotel does it no favours. No-one on reception on arrival. I had to leave and come back some time later. The room was not satisfactory and did not come up to its on-line appearance. No useable desk. No USB connections for re-charging. Slow internet when connected. The manager was not helpfu. Hotel to be avoided.

The staff went above and beyond especially Julie who served out afternoon tea and breakfast, a lovely lady, she gave great recommendations and was so friendly. Food was delicious, great value for money, room was spacious, will happily stay again thank you x

Fantastic hotel, very convenient for us as a couple who travelled for one night by train. Have used premier Inn but wouldn't return as The Grand so much nicer.

Brilliant bath - water pressure & temperature was great. Bathroom was huge, however toilet was dirty. Pillows were very flat, old & lumpy. When we phoned to request new ones we were advised the room already had adequate pillows & that they might not have enough spare ones. When we received new ones, they were exactly the same as the ones the room already had. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. The hallway to our room smelt very musty. Check in staff & night concierge were inattentive & uninterested. Very noisy traffic & pedestrians - room was not sound proofed. There was no information in our room regarding wifi, places to eat, hotel facilities, etc. The coffee mugs were dusty, as was the floor. Overall a really disappointing stay. Honestly couldn’t wait to leave. We had really looked forward to our stay.

The hotel is well located and the staff are nice. That is where the positives end - the upkeep is poor - the lift wasn't working and all communal areas stink of air freshener - it was thick and horrible to breath. The breakfast was terrible. The negatives far outweigh the positives so best avoided.

Mixed feelings about this hotel - guess it depends on which room you’re given. But very friendly and welcoming staff/front desk. Despite reviews that the rooms were refurbished, the room I was assigned to had many problems, and I doubt it was actually refurbished. The sealed windows had rain water sipping in, the mold on the walls beside the window is telling that this has gone on for awhile. The bed’s head rest does not fully go against the wall, so you can see a layer of dust when reaching to use the power sockets or switches beside the bed. The shower only had scalding hot water, was not able to shower. Informed the (same) friendly staff the next morning about the leaking windows, and he changed the room for me as I stayed more than 2 night. The next room was way better - window that opened (for ventilation) yet no rain sipping in when closed. Shower worked perfectly.

Grand Hotel with fab staff!
The staff were extremely helpful, providing a heater and doing everything with a smile. They are awesome! The room was comfortable and cosy once I was given a heater. Top marks!

Stay in Swansea
Had a great night at the Grand. Hotel has recently been refurbished to a high standard. We had a lovely room on the fourth floor which had a balcony, jacuzzi bath & a nespresso coffee machine. A comfortable bed provided a good nights sleep. A short walk from the hotel takes you into the city centre where all amenities are available. A car park behind hotel cost only £5 per 24 hours. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Swansea.

Too hot in room
The room was very hot, there was a portable air cooling system but that was not much use. The building work outside started at 9 am (we were not told of this) It was an unexpected early bank holiday wake-up call.

Great hotel! Would definitely stay here again. Katie was a huge help with directions and general info. Right near the Swansea train station yet quiet to sleep. Very spacious & comfortable room/bed. Convenience store across the street.
