« Fantastic stay. I received a warm welcome and was informed of the history of the main house and given informationabout breakfast and the relaxing bar area. Breakfast orders are taken the evening before, and my order was delivered to the dining room at exactly the time ordered (it was hot, fresh and delicious). There are cereals etc already in the room. « L'hôtel est juste en face de la gare, ce qui est pratique. Le personnel est très gentil, et le pub/resto de l'hôtel est refait à neuf et relativement bien. Cependant, l'hôtel en lui-même est bien décevant. Nous avions une chambre pour deux avec salle de bain privative, une pour deux sans, et une chambre individuelle. Dans la salle de bain privative, la chasse des toilettes ne marchait pas toujours. La chambre individuelle côté rivière est une vrai cocotte minute. Le tuyau d'eau chaude...

« Lovely hosts and a very generous cooked breakfast with quality ingredients and big pot of tea plus lots of toast! Room was very spacious and comfortable with a balcony for warmer weather - lovely views to the other side. Decor is somewhat dated and bathroom could do with update but everything scrupulously clean, loads of hot water and everything very comfortable. Could not have asked for more. »

« We had a great time at Rectory Manor, a lovely old georgian country house set in mature garden of trees and lawn with a swimming pool and tennis court if you want some exercise. Our room (the Hudson) was furnished in the country house style and was supremely comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom was a bit small and slightly dated. The bath was too small to properly soak. On the plus side we had an unexpected balcony that caught the morning sun whilst giving beautiful country views...
