Our group was about half adults and half kids. This house was perfect for us to accommodate everyoneâs needs. PLENTY of space for all of us to not feel crowded. The dining room was the perfect size for us all to enjoy a meal together. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the play room and the adults appreciated all of the different tables for games. Everyone was able to enjoy the hot tub as well! It is a quick drive too from downtown Shaver. The neighborhood was very quiet too, which we appreciated. Shortly after arrival, I had noticed that one of the stairs rails was broken. After alerting the host, she promptly responded noting it would be fixed. There was also some basic kitchen supplies that were missing that the host also reimbursed us for very quickly. While that was likely an accident from the house cleaners, it was a slight inconvenience. The biggest drawback from this house was the back deck. We were very disappointed with it. It is very old decking wood, and when our kids played on it, they got splinters almost every time. It is also a multi-level deck and the different transitions are hard to see, so many of our kids were falling often. Several screws holding the decking down were old and starting to poke up out of the wood. We quickly learned to not walk barefoot outside. We would have loved to spend more time on the back deck, but the condition of it was not conducive to that unfortunately. I would not recommend letting kids play on it.
