« C'est un bon auberge pour une étape avec les grands petit déjeuners anglais. La restaurant ferme à 18.00 les dimanches. La bière anglaise est bonne ici. Parking c'est dans les rues ou vous devez chercher une place. Nos avons trouvés les lits un peu dur. Il y a un peu de bruit des rues et beaucoup quand il y a un livraison de la bière. Le bâtiment est un peu fatigué. »

« Welcoming, friendly, casual place to stay. Room had all you need. Clean and fresh. Some maintenance 'teething issues e.g. damp/ mould on skirtingboard. Food 3 star dining. Some lighter, smaller portioned options would be a welcome addition to the evening menu. Popular with local community. »

« Staff not very friendly (both on check in and check out). It seemed as if they would like to be anywhere except where they were then and there and they did not seem keen to help with anything. The walls are very thin and people speaking in the corridor sound like they are in your room. You can also hear everything outside. Did not have a good night's sleep and would not book to stay here again. »

« Cette ancienne auberge de la fin du 16ème Siècle possède un charme indéniable mis en valeur par une rénovation de qualité. Mais qui dit 16ème Siècle dit également certaines contraintes comme un plafond bas dans certaines chambres, insonorisation moyenne. L'absence de climatisation entraine également une atmosphère chaude les rares jours de canicule dans cette région. Le service est de qualité et la restauration correcte. Pas de parking sur le site de l'auberge mais nous avons reussi à nous...

« If you hadn’t spoken to anyone prior to arriving, there’s no signage to tell you where the apartment is nor is there anything on the confirmation email. Luckily I had spoken to someone beforehand who turned out to be a very nice member of staff. Although four people were booked to stay here there were only 2 cups, no instant coffee so had to go to Costa machine in the Co-op in the morning at an extra expense. « We stayed for 3 days after our 14-night cruise and were able to wash and dry all our clothes. The washing machine was very handy. The provided clothes hanger had seen better days but we made it work. The location was fabulous and close to heaps of restaurants and pubs. We caught the local bus to Lewes for fun and had a great day. The apartment is quiet and comfortable. We would recommend to stay here. »
