Depending of the bathroom, you could have a broken toilet seat, a rickety soap holder, a broken toilet paper holder, or no toilet paper holder at all. The shower heat was aimed at the top of my head, which is not practical when you don't want to hold it while you soap yourself. The lamp over my bed would have been very practical... if it was working. One of my roommates snore so loud, the management was called by two others, and she still remained over my head. Three out of six stove burners did not work, and the oven had to be ignited by two people and a BBQ lighter. Food tends to disappear whether you identify it or not. Besides that, good option for the price.

Arrived after midnight due to a late flight, front desk staff was very helpful checking me in as well as informing me of the available amenities. Full bunk room with several other already asleep fairly quite night other than some noisy late night traffic. Clean bed and clean bathroom to shower off in the morning. Quick and easy checkout. Would stay here again.

Stay in an old SF hotel!
Hi, when I arrived, the friendly staff were very helpful. My room, however, had been stripped but not cleaned nor were there sheets, pillowcases, nor towels. The front desk staff helped by providing rolled-up sheets and towels (which I thought at first were all that was amiss) but when I discovered the toilet and shower had not been cleaned (a LOT of grotty hair in shower drain), they moved me to another room. Otherwise was great. The hotel is an older one, a bit tired, but good value for money and very helpful with bag storage, etc.

A delightful place, updated bathrooms / showers, quiet, easily accessible to union square, insane to pay 500+ for a room in this are when you can book this hostel for $100 bucks. A good option for anyone on a budget.

the outlet for my bed didn't work, i didn't get any towels, the mattress had yellow stain which i did not want to know what it was. prob the worst place ive ever stayed, its so bad that im not even mad.

Wasn’t terrible but seemed like a rougher part of town. Husband and I just spent one night there. We got a decent room but found out when we checked in that it was in the basement which we weren’t thrilled about but settled for. On our way down to the basement there was a side door to the outside that was cracked open for some reason; which made us feel even more unsafe. There were several people hanging out in the lounge areas down there and were making some noise past 10pm. We didn’t complain because we figured we’ll just go to our room, mind our business and sleep. We could definitely hear all the noise through the walls and even hear when people used their sink, shower and bathroom. We’re heavy sleepers once we fall asleep so it wasn’t terrible but definitely annoying. Room was clean and the staff wasn’t rude or anything like that. Decent place I guess if you’re not picky. We were just there overnight to sleep so we didn’t mind too much.

I enjoyed my 4 night stay here. The bed was very comfortable and the staff very nice. I plan on staying here again in the future. Excellent value for the price I paid. I'll just mention it's on a hilly street, so be prepared for that.

日を開けて2回泊まりました。2回とも シーツや枕カバーに髪の毛が付いていて（何本も！）どうなっているのかしら？と思いました。 使いやすいキッチンもあり、部屋はシンプルながら荷物用のロッカー（鍵は持参）、ベッドサイドには電源もあり、使い勝手は良かったです。

This is a hostel. Not a hotel! Dirty. Stoned people in lobby. Reeks of smoke and pot. Room smells of industrial cleaner. We immediately left and found another place. This Should not be on your hotel search. I was with my family. Why do you offer hostels on your hotel app? I will not be using Expedia again. I want a refund!!!!

We stayed in a private dorm for 6. The beds and the bathroom were nice. The kitchen and outdoor patio were a nice amenity. Overall it was a very pleasant experience! I will recommend this place to all my friends traveling to the San Francisco area!

I liked the single room; it had a comfortable bed, very nice private bathroom, large tv, and it was quiet. Friendly and helpful staff, storage room for luggage, it is a safe place to stay, and about a 10 minute walk to BART and MUNI. Several eateries close to the hostel. Price was reasonable. I enjoyed my stay!
