« The room was very bad, there was no staff and the condition of the “hotel” was atrocious. At night there was random screaming from all around, like it was mad max. The heating was terrible and the room was cold all night. Couldn’t sleep much at all and decided right there to switch to a real hotel. Idk who took the photos but they did a great job tricking customers into thinking that this was a decent place. Absolutely awful, basically a silent hill experience. »

« There was noise the first night so I asked to be moved, which they did. They next night noise occurred again and so I booked a different hotel and lost out on two nights Would not recommend. »

« The Akebono Ryokan was a charming place to stay in a lowkey town that provided an excellent base for exploring Saga prefecture. The staff were so friendly, helpful and delightful. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Staff recommendations for the 3 places to eat dinner were wonderful- each small, specialised, local and in walking distance. Highly recommend. »
