Could have been a little cleaner. Bring your own pots and pans! The ones provided are not of very good quality.
Overall stay though was very pleasant. Pool was definitely a plus and very enjoyable!
I've requested a full refund for this booking for the following reasons:
1. Prior to check-in, I received no check-in instructions from the property manager after having booked this reservation months in advance. My group all arrived at the house at check-in time and we waited outside while I attempted to contact Teya over the phone without a response. I messaged her through the website and still received no response. After waiting on hold with VRBO for more than an hour and speaking to 3 separate customer reps - all of which couldn't contact Teya, we decided to book a stay elsewhere because we didn't know if or when check-in information would be provided.
2. When check-in instructions arrived more than an hour after check-in time, I was told I wouldn't be able to receive the access code until I texted a photo of my ID and credit card. If I've already paid in full via VRBO, there is no reason I should need to send a photo of my credit card information to anyone. Additionally, if this was part of their reservation policy, they make no mention of it in their property listing or in any emailed communication. It seemed like a scam to obtain my credit card information.
3. Only until I requested a full refund from VRBO did the property owner call and leave me a voicemail at 10:40PM - more than 6 hours after check-in. When I wrote her to say why I was requesting a full refund, she said it was not possible and that checking in to a hotel was a "personal choice" when we were stranded without an access code and without the ability to reach the property owner. She also said that check-in instructions were emailed to me, which was never the case. I am now disputing the charge through my credit card company.
I was disappointed in the communication from the property manager and it truly put a damper on the weekend that I spent months planning. I do not recommend booking this property.
It was a great stay. The house was exactly as described. We were pleasantly surprised with an extra stow-away bed and even a pack and play for our 2 year old. The washer and dryer was handy to do our laundry before leaving. The house was located in a good neighborhood and REALLY close to wal-mart and other shops. There are some restaurants around the area as well. I read a review that the pool was cold before I checked in. Wow, was this true. My wife and in-laws wouldn't even get in because it was so cold. My kids didn't care though. They still had a great time. And, I, managed through it. The only negative I have to say is the floors look clean. However, walking around inside the house barefoot, our feet turned black really quickly. So, bring sandals to wear around the house. Overall, I would book again.
This property is not well maintained for the price you pay. The 800 dollar fees you pay should include property up keep such as propane, spraying for roaches which we called about the first night and were told by property mng they spray every 90 days but the second complaint was to Teya who said it was every two weeks so which is it? Also the fence is falling down boards with nails exposed lying on the ground neighbors can see inside the yard. Only two out of three light bulbs worked in the back bathroom and the fan in the first bedroom didnt work and no sheets to fit the pullout sofa bed Said they would send someone out but no one ever showed up. Most of the things were trivial except you shouldn't have to fill a propane tank when the BBQ is part of the rental and MOST unacceptable shouldn't have to put up with and kill roaches while on vacation!!!! Renters BEWARE!!!!! We will NEVER be back
We decided to book this place for my son's 2nd birthday. We enjoyed the big pool and the comfy house. It was a very pleasant stay, we would definitely book again!
We had a great time at this house. Not a huge house but all we needed. Clean, comfortable, and included everything we needed. The backyard space with a large covered porch, pool and just enough grass made for most days out enjoying the weather.
If you need a place to stay in this area this house is fine. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms were cleaned. As a home space to sleep there is nothing wrong with it. The floors were super dirty we had to wear shoes in the house to avoid our feet turning black. And the light fixtures overhead were caked in dust. But if you donât mind that the rest of the house was very clean. was clean. It is just a very old house in a not great neighborhood thatâs been updated a bit inside.
We were very disappointed with the outdoor space. Itâs very small. The pool was the entire reason we came here (pandemic family weekend) but it was so freezing cold we literally couldnât get in. We jumped in as a dare - not kidding Iâve never been in a pool this cold. I assume itâs because itâs in shade all day from the trees? But regardless if the pool is your draw, this is not the place for you.
Overall itâs a fine place
The area was full of smoke due to the fires and we couldnât postpone nor cancel. The neighborhood looked sketchy and we wouldnât have gotten into the pool even if we had been able to. Both the garden and the pool had not been properly maintained.
Inside was fine but I got bitten by fleas. Also, it took two weeks to get my deposit back. The first and last time I go there.
House had awesome comfortable beds and pillows in all rooms, and good sized tvs in every room. Kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. Although, cooking oil would of been good.
We had a problem with the bbq the first night, it needed to be cleaned, and by the time we noticed how badly it needed cleaning it was on fire, but we cleaned it up and we were grilling with it the last night. Took trying getting ahold of 2 people to get a answer, but finally was resolved. We ran out of toilet paper while we were there, probably need to be a little more stocked up than 2 rolls lol
also, the pool light never worked and all outside flood lights were burnt out, facing the pool. Also the pool was filled with leaves the entire stay, because of all the trees near by. We cleaned it alot.
Unfortunately there were fires everywhere near us, when we vacationed here,, but luckily the a/c in the house worked awesome. Also, the neighborhood was nice, no neighbors bothering us, and very quiet.
All and all it was a great stay (a few things I would of changed, but no major problems)at this vrbo, I would stay again, and definitely recommend this property to others.
If you are thinking about renting this property here are some things I suggest to do when you arrive. Take pictures of everything! Every corner! Even the shower curtains. Then compare them to the pictures provided online. Then send them to the owner to document the conditions with a time stamp.
When we arrived the patio furniture was not placed the way it was in the photos and we thought that was the normal placement. Guess what? It wasn't and it is now one of the reasons why I'm not getting my deposit back.
The owner also claims that we had a party due to the garbage being full. When we arrived the garbage already had a case of Lagunitas beer bottles in there along with other bottles. My family and I stayed there for a long weekend to enjoy the sun and the pool since we can't really travel anywhere during this pandemic. So isn't it reasonable to have garbage accumulate from Friday to Monday morning since we stayed in all of the days and cooked every meal???
The owner also claims my dog chewed up the pool inflatables which is BS because my dog doesn't chew things up nor was he even near the pool. Plus we brought our own pool inflatables. She also claims that he peed on the shower curtains in both bathrooms, I have a small stout frenchie who is house broken and doesn't even lift his leg when he urinates. If the basis of this claim is due to the shower curtains being wet well it's because we took showers before we left!
Another claim was the pool was " found in an absolutely unacceptable condition" It was left the way we found it!
They also claim that the BBQ grill was left in "absolutely unacceptable condition" which is BS!!! When we started to grill our dinner Friday night there was left over shrimp in there and the propane take was empty. We cleaned the grill prior and after we used it. Mind you we also went out to fill up the propane tank.
I want to warn folks who rent from these people because the BS excuses they make to keep your deposit makes it seem like they had every intention on keeping it. If you stay here don't use anything, your safer that way.
These people are a bunch of crooks! I normally don't give bad reviews but in this case I feel compelled to let future renters know what they are getting into. The deposit amount is a lot of money especially during these trying times. I believe in karma and it will definitely come around to them.
This house was perfect for our multi generational family of 6 and our 2 small dogs. The house is on the small side, but is well laid out and the backyard is very spacious with lots of seating. The pool is a great for the warm summer days and evenings in Sacramento. Access to grocery stores, drug stores, etc. is very close and the outdoor grill is a nice plus. Beds are comfortable. Would have liked a queen and a twin in the owner's suite rather than 2 doubles, but we made it work. House was very clean and the kitchen is well equipped. There are some marks on the walls, but this is to be expected with a frequently rented property. I would recommend this house and would stay here again in the future.
The pool and space in the home was perfect for visiting our latest grandchild with the other munchkins. The outdoor area really gave the family additional space without always being on top of each other. Definitely recommend this home if you are looking for a place to just hang out for a few days.

We stayed in this property for our sons's wedding week. The interior was very clean and well maintained. Convenient to everything that we could possibly need during our stay. Only minor issue that we had was that several of the remote controls for the televisions were without batteries. Contacted the property manager who immediately responded and said that they would send someone to replace the batteries. No one showed up during our stay. Definitely nothing to affect the overall rating of the property, just a minor inconvenience. Property states that it sleeps 12. I would not suggest for a group in excess of 6. We had 4 and it was perfect for us. Suggestion for the owner would be to provide a notebook with instructions about the property and local interests. Will definitely stay again when we go to visit.
Medium size home with adequate sleeping for the eight in our group. Nice backyard with covered lounge area to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon and evening meals. Nice relaxed and quiet neighborhood. Pool was wonderful for the kids we had with us. Pool was cool and was shaded by large trees that blocked the sun most of the day and trees were shedding there leaves while we were there.
House was clean and well furnished. Property manager quick to answer questions.
I felt a few things were missing that I really feel should be part of the
Package. Steak knives and kitchen shears are items I use and these were both missing. Also wanted was a guest book to list local attractions and restaurants along with giving info on house, such as when is pool maintenance day, when is gardener arriving, when is garbage pick up day, what is expected as to recycling, etc.
The process for checking in and actually getting the door code was not clear and I was a bit distressed to have to wait until actual check in time to get the door code.
Overall a great place to stay and I would stay here again.

The house was as nice as the pictures and the stay was amazing. The only gripe I would have would be during the booking and checking process. During booking the owner requires an additional property protection fee. I think this should be mentioned prior to booking. Also they require you to send a copy of your drivers license and credit card via VRBO messaging or text before you can get the key code. I didn't really have an issue sending a copy via VRBO (can't use phone app for attachments) but there was issues for them to open it so I had to send through text which was definitely not my first choice. I don't like the idea of having a copy of my ID and credit card on someone's phone.

the home was lovely and quiet. the pool needed skimming but that was easy to do. we noticed a wall that had some marks on it (looked like it had been that way for a while) but the area was nice and private. had a great time.

Clean, well furnished, comfortable. The pool was perfect to cool down from the heat. A/C in the house worked great! Thank you!
5 day rental for pre-wedding activity, which was perfect for our out of state family. Convenient to Interstate and support retailers. Local house mgr Stefan was great and very quick to respond to queries; not so much with scheduler (Teya) in Illinois. Backyard pool and flowerbeds messy but not showstoppers. Easy to posses and give back. NICE house but smaller than pix. Military discount of $50. Ask first about additional fees besides daily usage fee. It adds up. Overall, I'd rent it again. VRBO easier than AirBNB.
