The breakfast was a 3 or 4-stars hotel, not a 5-stars hotel. Chocolated food everyday was missing. And we need more variety for the days during the week and to don't be bored. For the pool, the water outside is thrown away, and fall in the grass. You should put something to stop the water.

Belle hôtel
L'hôtel était parfait, très bien situé, chambre spacieuse et propre avec belle vue sur la mer, le service impeccable a la réception et au restaurant. Seul point négatif, le petit déjeuner est le même pendant 1 semaine et les plats chaud ( œufs, bacon, champignons.. .) était tout le temps froid, même la machine à café c'était froid, les assiettes froide.

Très bel hôtel tout neuf.
Hôtel tout neuf, très joli, personnel charmant. Une partie des chambres est encore en travaux mais les parties communes sont terminées. Nous n’avons pas été gênés par les finitions. L’espace en dessous de l’hôtel, avant la plage, n’est pas encore aménagé. Ils coupaient les bambous pendant notre séjour, je ne sais pas comment cela va être mais j’espère qu’ils ne construiront pas un autre hôtel. Sinon le verde mar perdrait tout son intérêt.

Sehr sehr nettes Personal! Ein wunderschöner Ausblick aufs Meer, auch aus der Badewanne. Das Fitnessstudio war sehr gut ausgestattet und hatte Meerblick. Kaffee und Süßgebäck top. Das Bad ist aufgrund der dünnen Einbauplatten und der Schiebetür sehr hellhörig. Bademantel und Schuhe eher für kleine Menschen kleiner 1,75m konzipiert. Beim Frühstück wäre bisschen Abwechslung toll (vegane Aufstriche, Hummus).

We had a fantastic view of the ocean. The free breakfast buffet had a large variety of options and a lot of helpful staff. We used the workout room. The indoor heated pool, sauna, & steam room were great after a day of sightseeing!

The staff did a great job. I really enjoyed my stay. Only problem I found is the beach behind the hotel Is not really cared for but that is not a part of the hotel.

Beautiful property. Most rooms have ocean views. Staff were very helpful. Nice to be able to walk to the town. Restaurants close by. Even a supermarket across the street. Also, easy to get from hotel to other places on the island. Would highly recommend.

The staff at the hotel were wonderful. Very friendly and knowledgeable. The amenities were great and enjoyable after a long day. The buffet breakfast was very good. Lots to choose from. The hotel is within walking distance of downtown and a grocery store.

Absolutely some of the friendliest and most accomodating staff we've ever had. On top of it all, the cuisine at the Terracotta Bar and Restaurant was exceptional whether it was breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late night room service. The spa/message options and proximity to incredible beaches and vistas only added to what was an absolutely magnificent experience for us. On top of it all, my fiancee is 5.5 months pregnant, and the entire staff always went out of their way to make sure she felt comfortable and had her needs put first. An absolute 5 star experience from start to finish, we cannot recommended Verde Mar highly enough!

Best hotel my Fiancee and I have stayed at. The room and hotel was clean, the staff went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. They even left a cake in my room on my birthday, such a lovely experience. Would love to come back anytime. :)

This was the perfect place to stay - right in the beach, central to everywhere we wanted to go, and the indoor pool, steam room and sauna was a perfect way to end the day. The staff is very welcoming, even bringing me cake and a card for my birthday.

I like the view for the swim pool. I don’t like the garbage can in the bathroom, when you step on it, it fell on your feet. And the middle of the two beds no table, not very convenient. Closet no auto light.

Raul, Long Beach

Excellent experience, overall. The hotel is gorgeous and the ocean views are unbeatable. The property is very well taken care of and the staff were awesome—very friendly and accommodating. Ribeira Grande is a bit remote from Central Ponta Delgada, but everything is far away around the island anyway. A rental car is a must in São Miguel and having a car will make your experience more enjoyable all around.

Room was quite cold and moist and our air con / heater didn't really work. Gym and indoor pool were nice, but the saunas didn't work.
