« Visiting family in Reading so location was perfect. Plenty of parking and free of charge. Room was basic, clean apart from dust on bed frame and dressing table. Lovely clean white bed sheets and big white fluffy bath towels. Plug hole on sink and bath needed a good scrub. Reported to reception that the shower water was not flowing away very well and also when boiling the kettle steam was escaping onto the handle. Husband had breakfast, plenty of choice and good quality. We paid £55 in total...

« Overall enjoyable stay. Staff friendly and supportive. Parking easy. Room overall comfortable - radiator and heater helped warm the room. Shower needs removal of mould and descaling of shower head. Preordering breakfast worked fine and the omelette was very enjoyable. Dinner was good. Sharing starter good as was the beef stew and Bull burger. Crumble nice. Enjoyable drinks in the bar. »

« The building is very old. With this comes issues with either a very steep staircase up to the rooms or use of an emergency exit at the rear (which is made of metal steps with a precarious old mat dangerously situated at the top). The room was lovely but it was very hot as situated above the kitchen. The weather was forecasted to be 28/29 degrees and I had to ask for a fan. It was a struggle to sleep in such temperatures as the fan was noisy so had to be switched off. In the morning I was...

« Super restaurant vraiment pas cher dans le plus pur style anglais. Pdj copieux et bon. Prix vraiment sympa Personnel moyennement aimable. Chambre un peu miteuse, juste bien pour dormir. Petites fenetres la rendant sombre »

« The room was a good size and comfortable. We are there in the evening. Food was cooked well. We enquired what time breakfast was and where we ate. We were told between 9-11am downstairs in bar restaurant. We went downstairs at 9-15 am only to find the place deserted!! Absolutely no one to be found. Apparently our breakfast was a bunch of bananas, some apples, cereal bar and a pot if granola in a small fridge left on the landing. No milk!! On Expedia it stated breakfast was included with photos...

« Attention ne pas confondre avec The George Hotel de la chaine Mercure en centre ville !!!!! Une catastrophe : hotel, chambre et salle de bain sale. A besoin d'être rénové. Nous avions 3 chambres dont 2 minuscules désuets avec vue sur parking. Très proche de la voie ferrée juste à côté que l'on entend très bien ! »

« No AC in the room and no fan during a really hot day! But the biggest problem was the bathroom! A terrible smell, and the toilet was moldy. Terrible experience. I will never come back here! »
