Casa Barbera A is a large apartment, ideal for complete relaxation, just a few steps away from the stunning sea of the Amalfi Coast

Located in Positano – the jewel of the Amalfi Coast – Casa Barbera A is an apartment in a quiet central location suitable for families. It has a total area of 90 m2 and can accommodate up to 6 people.

The apartment is in a building along one of Positano’s narrow alleyways, and some flights of stairs (about 50 stairs) lead to the apartment’s minimalist entrance. The apartment is located on a pedestrianised area about 1 km from Positano, with nearby shops and amenities, including a payable car park on the public road and a bookable private car park.

The apartment entrance opens straight into the kitchen, which is equipped with a four-burner hob, sink, oven, microwave oven, fridge-freezer, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, citrus press and every utensil you might need to show off your cooking skills.

A safe, washing machine and iron are also available. From the two bedrooms, there is access to a balcony with a small iron-framed sofa and, in a wider space, a coffee table and chairs. From the balcony, there is a beautiful panoramic view of Positano, stretching from the mountains to the sea.

There are two spacious and bright bedrooms, with air conditioning and heating, plus two bathrooms.

Facts only. I messaged Max while I was still in the USA saying we would arrive at 7:00 PM. Our plane was slightly delayed, so I messaged him letting him know we would arrive closer to 7:30 PM. We arrived at 7:45 PM. Max spent time showing us around and giving us information. I would have preferred it in writing. He left at 8:05 PM. Late check in was after 8 PM. Max asked to be paid the late check in fee because he stated that his shift ended at 7pm. After a lot of emails and messages, the management company reimbursed the late fee. Max told them we arrived after 8PM. They said it was his word against ours. That night we figured out the AC was broken in one of the bedrooms. We would NEVER have rented a place without AC. I emailed them the next morning to tell them about the AC. They did not fix it or send anyone to fix it until the next day. They sent the housekeeper to look at it and clean it. It was still not working when they left. My husband found the owners manual to the AC unit on line and was able to trouble shoot that it was out of refrigerant. 3 out of the 4 nights - one of the bedrooms had no AC. I should have been refunded at least 25-50% of the rent because a rented a 2 bedroom condo with AC and they did not provide that. Also, the place had ants. The place looked clean other than that. No useable coffee maker. Lots of stairs to go down to the beach and back up. Round trip it took us about 1.25 hours to walk. 25 min. down. 50 min. back up.

The view from the property is amazing, but there were a few pieces regarding the property that I did not like there is a deck with a beautiful view with a small bistro table, but only one chair so my daughter and I could not sit at the table together to have breakfast The website list price for car services and grocery delivery but when you contact rental the price changes. The host was not able to meet us at the house due to road closure but did have someone else meet us who was able to help us with carrying our bag kitchen Was not well equipped. There was only one pot with no matching lid. The outlets in the kitchen were not compatible with the coffee maker so I had to make coffee in the bathroom. There were also very few supplies. We received one towel and there was only one dish cloth in the kitchen and one dirty sponge to clean dishes , we ran out of toilet paper and laundry detergent with only a three day stay. The ceramic floors are beautiful, and the beds are comfortable. There were ants in the house and we ran out of ant spray that was provided.

We had a beautiful stay in Positano! I loved walking through the narrow neighborhood down to Positano! I also loved hanging out on the balcony at night with my family, watching the view, laughing and recapping the day!
