« We have been coming into town for the last 2 months due to a family member in Hospital and the staff at Candlewood couldn’t have been any better to us. Diana from the front desk helped get us moved from a king room to a double due to another family member coming in to say there goodbye’s to family member. « The kids enjoyed the pool, and the staff were all super polite. however, the room we were in had obvious water damage and reeked of mildew. There were cockroaches everywhere as well which made us incredibly nervous. The whole thing seemed kind of dirty. The breakfast did not have good options either, my son and I are gluten intolerant. Normally hotels I’ve stayed at have bacon, eggs and hash browns as an option but everything was wheat based which was super disappointing. »

« Great breakfast, quiet hotel, and the Rockport City Beach park was a short drive across the road. You could walk but it would be about a mile long. The pool was small but nice. For some reason it was closed during our stay. I am guessing chemical treatment because the smell was so strong. »

« Staff was great! The room was nice and the breakfast was excellent! Only complaint I would have would be regarding the hot tub. It said there was a hot tub but upon arrival was told the hot tub is no longer hot and marked as a kids pool. »
