My family & I stayed here while driving my brotherâs car down to Pensacola, hoping to make a vacation out of it. The location was great, and the pictures looked decentâbut the reality was very disappointing.Upon check in, the place seemed decent but then we started noticing the floors were filthy & sticky, grease splatter on the appliances, old coffee grounds left in the coffee maker. The âcurtainsâ were literally folded pieces of paper taped to the window-no rod, couldnât pull them up. The bedding smelled awful and clearly hadnât been cleaned, and the towels smelled like cigarette smoke. We had just driven 16 hours and ended up sleeping on our beach towels because the sheets were dirty.I reached out to the âproperty managerâ aka owner, who blamed the cleaning crew ânot making itâ and promised a deep clean. He offered to pay for us to go to lunch while they cleaned, but I asked if that money could go toward new sheets instead (thereâs no washer or dryer and I wanted to be confident we were getting clean sheets). I thought okay, heâs trying to make it right. Came back to find the same old sheets, only laundered & still smelly. Night 2, my brother joined us-when he went to bed, the frame collapsed under my him because it wasnât bolted properly and had broken slats. I texted the owner that night with photosâno reply to date. Hereâs the icing on the cake the sheet slipped off the master mattress, I discovered brown stains all over the mattress along with blood stains.
