I was a bit taken aback on check in as it was not evident when booking that the cottage is actually a separate dwelling inside the bounds of the owner’s house. « Really loved our stay here, perfectly appointed, very clean and in perfect condition with everything that we needed. Bed was very comfortable and it was super quiet most of the time. Loved being able to bring the dog along. Having the fence around the place was great so he could potter around. Communication was a bit difficult as the sites block links so we never saw the actual house rules, but that was pretty minor. Might be helpful to include a QR code in the cottage somewhere so people can...

« We had a wonderful stay. The cottage is so very beautiful. My only note to the hosts would be to be a little clearer to guests that the kitchen doesn't have an oven, just the cooktop. (It was clear there was no microwave, but we were a little surprised there was no oven either). But we had a good adventure using the wood-fired pizza oven instead. Other than that tiny suggestion, we had a very lovely time. »

« This was an amazing stay. The cottage suited us perfectly for a quiet time to relax and invigorate. The owner has seen to everything in detail, the extra touches are so thoughtful. The location was perfect for us, with quiet and privacy in a magnificent garden, yet not isolated as the main strip of Montville is merely a 5-minute drive away. « Upon arrival, the cottage was presented as per the photos. The beds are super comfy, the cottage was very clean with lots of books and games to keep you entertained. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing that was a bit annoying is the property is located on a main street and the front bedroom can be a bit noisy. This may not be an issue if you are staying during the weekend, however, during the week the traffic noise can be disruptive to sleep. Recommend earplugs if you're a light sleeper. »

« Everything was disappointing. Rooms look and feel like a depressing 80 year old couple's appartment in the 1970s. Walls and windows are paperthin in this very cheap building, so expect waking up with the birds from the backstreet alley in the morning. Nothing was on par with a 4 or 4.5 star hotel. This classification should absolutely reevaluated since it's a shame for real 4-stars to be compared to such a cheap and ugly place. »
