« Great property for our 2 night stay. Hobbiton around 20 minutes away by car. Plenty of restaurants in nearby Matamata. We particularly liked The Osteria recommended by Kylie our host. The property is spotlessly clean. Kylie provided us with a continental breakfast with freshly baked bread and homemade yoghurt. Kylie was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend »

« We arrived at this cute home after 24 hours of travel. We were so exhausted and were going to go out to dinner but had zero energy. We realized the owner had left us some staple groceries including a loaf of bread, and jelly. I had packed a tub of peanut butter and some chips in my luggage so we had the best PBJs and relaxed! Bonus there was even a bottle of wine in the fridge :) The view around the back was spectacular. »

« Perfect little unit for a couple nights stay, great location, only a couple minutes walk to Papamoa Plaza and local brewery "The Island" which is great for families with kids! Amazing pizza too :) Came in winter so didn't get to check out the beach but it was in walking distance too. Unit was well equipped and clean. Easy check in and check out. Thanks Matt for a lovely stay :) »

« Matata Way appears on google maps but apparently does not exist. There was no signage for Matata anywhere, not even on the building. It was only as we walked down the driveway that we were told we had arrived.The unit itself was good, warm and well stocked. We were very comfortable. »

« This is a home away from home. Amazing use of space, and brilliant outdoor area thats well sheltered from the weather. I have slight ocd and whoever built and put this property together must also share the same eye for detail. My family loved staying here, very private and peaceful. Well appointed with quality whiteware etc.Very clean and tidy.100% recommend.Thankyou Ben. »
