Arrived and found bed totally not usable. Broken. Host did send a new bed in a box - we could not put together. House was filthy - found dead bugs, crackers on the floor, a condom wrapper on the floor in bedroom and gatorade bottle under 2nd bed. Pillows were wet and had stains on them so I requested 2 new pillows which Host did send promptly. A prior review that was placed AFTER our booking stated Bed Bugs and Roaches. I inquired prior to arriving and VRBO contacted Host who reassured there was none on property and I was told I could not get out of the contract unless I went up and checked in which we did. On arrival we found all the first things listed above but did not see bed bugs or live roaches, which on the 2nd day we saw both, and decided to try and make it work as the town was sold out due to two big functions in the city. To top it off the listing states pet friendly which is why we booked it however there is no yard for the dogs to be let out in as the fence is blown down and the yard has high grass in the back yard with tons of mosquitos. I failed to mention the inside also has a horrible gnat infestation as well. ON the second night I woke up with two bites on my forehead and thought maybe mosquitos ...but we found out at 2 AM the next night that there were indeed BED BUGS. I felt it crawling on my chest and was able to pinch it and ran to the bathroom where I saw it - along with the blood it had sucked out of me. I would not let my dogs stay in this house!
