Hôtel à éviter ! Je me suis fait dévorer par les punaises de lit, trou dans le sommier et vétusté des équipements. Sans oublier le patron et ses employés complètement soûl à toutes heures de la journée.

Je déconseille fortement pour une nuit romantique. Cet hôtel est pratique par sa localisation et fait l’affaire pour une nuit de passage (campeurs, amis, famille.) mais c’est pas très élégant. Pub au rez de chaussé avec de bons bons bons vivants ! L’accueil a été parfait. Les serviettes sont fournies et la chambre était propre. Merci :)

HORRIBLE
Ugly and stincky bedroom. It smelt sewers (horrible), cigarette and no hot water in the shower. No option offered, we had to find another bedroom in emergency. Hôtel dégoûtant. Chambre au deuxième étage sans eau chaude et qui sentait d'une part la cigarette et d'autre part très fortement les égouts. Nous avons demandé une autre chambre mais l'hôtel était complet, aucune solution ne nous a été proposée. Nous avons dû en urgence trouver un établissement pouvant nous recevoir à 20h. L'hôtel paraît délabré.

The room reeked of smoke. Nothing to hold the towels. No screen or shutter for the skylight. The bathroom was like a smoking room or cabin. Towels and bedding were clean though, and the girls in the pub were you must ask for the key were nice and friendly.

correct pour une nuit mais sans plus
le prix est forcément le premier critère pour cet hotel, qui est également bien situé. il est par contre un peu dans son jus et il y avait beaucoup d'humidité dans la chambre. les équipements sont sommaires mais pour une nuit, c'est suffisant

C’était pas cher et j’ai compris pourquoi. Ce n’est pas sale, c’est juste défraîchi. Je ne déconseille pas, on en a juste pour son argent. Literie un peu fatiguée Eau chaude capricieuse Ça fait le job.

It is what it is, cheap and cheerful accommodation above an old school pub. The facilities in my room were quite worn out but it was clean as was the bedding. I'd been prewarned about the hot water so waited patiently for a shower and it was fine. The seagulls were very noisy at 5am but you can't blame the hotel for that!

Comfortable with everything I needed. The staff were really helpful and friendly. The room is above a bar but no noise traveller to the room. The room was quiet, cosy and comfortable and I slept so well. Great location close to the centre of Oban. Excellent value for money.

Didn't use the bathroom except toilet, very old corroded sink, mouldy showers unit and dirty shower head. Flooring in bathroom needs replacing. Smoke detector had wires hanging down from ceiling with no cover. I have pictures, but unable to submit them.

The Claredon shows its age for sure but that is to be expected... however, it is in a fantastic location location ! It is very basic, but has everything you need. I would not recommend if you have a hard time with stairs as there is no lift. All in all..it was all good.

No free parking. Live music until nearly 1am. Not ideal. Was warned it would be u til midnight but it wasn’t the case. Room Clean, basic, had to buy loo roll as there wasn’t enough. Cheap and based on previous reviews I wasn’t expecting much for the price. Sufficient to sleep and shower but be aware of loud music until early hours

This property attempts to call themselves a budget hotel however it is not. A budget hotel is rough but clean. I realise that there are plenty of reviews saying that this is a clean facility but it is the furthest from the truth and I am not a fussy person. The beds in room #1 were pushed up against the filthiest wall I have ever experienced. It was nauseating to look at. Pictures don't even catch the level of smears and dried liquids. I can handle stained carpets and even the mold in the bathroom but this was reprehensible. Our second room was less disgusting but no less inadequate to be considered a budget hotel. I was actually quite angry that expedia would even list such a property. I would never have stayed except I was forced to pay up front before I even got a look inside. You only get one key per room and that key is needed to get inside the hotel itself which leaves you stranded outside when it doesn't work. Nobody running the hotel is on the site you are simply handed a key from a person at the bar. Trust me when I say there are better options. We stayed in a youth hostel the previous night and that was impeccably clean and considerably quieter. I always travel extremely budget and have never experienced something this disappointing. I read the reviews that stated that it was clean but just outdated. That was not my experience at all nor the experience of any of my traveling companions.

Older building centrally located. Very close to the train station, shops, eateries, and the Distillery. Proprietors kindly let me stow my bags in the closed bar area while I went for a distillery tour since the train station lockers were out of order. Perfectly adequate ensuite room lodging at hostel prices and more conveniently located. In room kettle, tea, coffee, tv. Would recommend if you're on a budget.

DID NOT LIKE ANYTHING. it is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, was that bad was booked for 2 nights only stayed one. and left at 6.30am to fined somewhere to stay for next night. it was filthy, Damp, carpets wore, room was frozen as heating was not adequate for the room. springs comping throne mattress. curtanas and window sills were black with dirt. shower was that cold you could take a new born baby in it. there was about a1" gap under the door that let any heat out that there was. the duvet was paper thin and the pillows were the same. had to flush the toilet 3 or 4 times to clear it. WOULD ADVISE OTHERS NOT TO EVEN THINK OF STAYING IN THIS HOTEL. as i have said in my and my wife's honest opinion you wiped your feet on the way out rather than on the way in. Very Disappointed in the condition of this hotel.
