Das Zimmer hatte keine Fenster und es gab beim Duschen kein warmes Wasser. Eine Reservedecke wäre gut, ich hab trotz Winterjacke im Bett gefroren. Da ich auf der Durchreise war, erwartete ich nicht viel. Sehr gut geschmeckt hat mir das reichhaltige Frühstück.

The manager of the hotel is such a sweetheart. He fulfilled all our requirements without any hesitation with a smiling place. Much go place as it has an awesome customer service.

Gut und feundlich, aber abgelegen und zu teurer
Das Personal war äusserst freundlich. Das Hotel ist gut eingerichtet, das Zimmer eher gross. Einzig die Douche war nicht ganz dicht und roch stark nach Abfluss. Insgesamt ein gutes Hotel, jedoch stimmt meiner Meinung nach der Preis nicht, dieser ist viel zu hoch. Wir hatten in Sri Lanka gleichewertige Hotels für die wir nur die Hälfte bezahlt haben.

Not so good
Hotel was good but a bit too far from city center, breakfast was okaish but the WiFi was rubbish, even tho the router was right outside our room but no internet or connection at all

The staff went to sleep at 10 and when we arrived we had to stand outside for 10 minutes. The heaters in the room didn't work at all. The breakfast was pretty bad. We thought of staying two nights but left after one. The location was excellent. Apart from that a rather forgetable experience.

Fair rating but a little expensive
A little out of town but with nice views from the terrace and dining. Rooms were large and clean and comfortable. Not all have a view and I could not get hot water from my shower. It was noisy from the road and the temple opposite had just opened and had night long chatting music being broadcast loudly. We ate local rice and curry for dinner and it was tasty and served quickly even in the middle of a power cut. Was ok place for 1 night but should be cheaper foe what it is.

Great value for money
The lovely staff go above and beyond to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We were welcomed with a yummy fruit basket and they organised packed breakfasts for us to take on our walk at 5am. This hotel is located just outside the town and overlooks the hills and provides a quiet nights sleep. Would definitely recommend the Midky Hotel.

charming hotel, good view, nice staff
We liked our room with its mountain view on two sides. The hotel has a lot of character. The staff is very helpful. It is chauffer friendly. The only issue I had was with potable water. The hotel only provides two small complimentary water bottles per room per day. If you intend to relax the whole day in the room, you are going to need more. There is no option for regular filtered water but if you talk to the staff nicely, they just might provide you more complimentary water bottles. The included breakfast was pretty good. They asked in advance about our eating preferences and whipped up some good fare the next morning. We ended up extending our stay by a day. I would go again for the great room, the view, and the courteous staff.

Misleading hotel overview
We stayed here for 1 night in March, the drive in through the hills was stunning and we were greeted with a friendly welcome. The room was clean and spacious but the tv, safe and heater did not work. The view over the hills from the room was stunning. The overview of the hotel on their own website states there is a bar and a games room, with the write up stating 'enjoy a beer over a game of cards or play darts and pool'. The games room and the bar did not exist! The hotel didn't even have any alcohol on site, not in the mini bar, not in the restaurant, nowhere! I went down to speak to the friendly face who checked us in but he had gone and the new guy couldn't speak English so couldn't understand what I was trying to say. I've never stayed in a hotel where we cant get a drink. If we knew there was no alcohol on site we wouldn't have stayed here, we felt cheated. We booked into the restaurant for evening meal and breakfast. Breakfast was very good but the evening meal was average(and no wine to accompany it) and we seemed to be the only people staying in the hotel so the atmosphere wasn't there and we felt a little uncomfortable. The hotel has bags of potential with the location but unfortunately we left disappointed.

Beware restaurant is not operating.
The restaurant was not open for supper. The manager did arrange for some fried rice but this is really not acceptable. Breakfast was provided with the room and was fine.

Mediocre
Room wasn't ready at check in time but desk attendant didn't tell us - just disappeared until I found him. Shower didn't have more than 30 seconds of hot water.

Fantastisk service
Fint opphold, lynkjapp innsjekking, fantastisk service av dei ansatte og stort romslig rom. Einaste å utsetje på hotellet var at det var litt kaldt på rommet og at det ligg litt øde til, men hotellet ligg fint til, flott utsikt frå frukostsalen og som sagt fantastisk service, absolutt anbefalt.
