« Nice location; close enough to town yet far enough away to be quiet. Felt very comfortable and very at-home at Benson Cottage - a great place to unwind and enjoy what Nature and the Moosehead Lake region have to offer. Our host, Tara, was friendly, easy to communicate with and kept the cottage well-stocked and clean. We wanted for nothing. I sure hope we can come back before too long! »

« The location was beautiful, right on the river and beautiful views. Close to trails for ATV. The Rockwood bar and grill fed us two nights and we enjoyed it! The home was cozy and had the essentials. We enjoyed spending time in the downstairs living room. The house could have had a deeper clean (just lots of cob webs and some bugs around lights) I also wish there was less responsibility on the guests. We had to do laundry and take all of our trash. « We returned here this year after a magical stay last summer. We were not disappointed. The location of the house on Lake Hebron makes for a fun time. Kayaking, fishing, birdwatching or just sitting and relaxing occupied our time at the house. The loons calling created a soundtrack for our stay. « Beautiful property , just the right size for a couple , cozy with a private beach area. If you would have a hard time climbing up ladder to bedroom they have another property next door with a larger and easier accessible bed. The owners live close and were very helpful. we toured with easier access to a larger bed. »
