« Our experience at this cottage was extremely disappointing. After driving for 4 hours, we had to clean for two hours before unpacking to make it a bit more acceptable. Where do I begin, the cottage was very dirty and so are the pots and pans left there to be used by the guests. The kettle on the stove was filled with dirty rusty water, the cast iron pans were greasy and dirty, the table, chairs and wall behind the stove were very sticky. « We had a very enjoyable time. Yes it was cold outside, but we were comfortable inside! The LLBean stores and other outlets and restaurants were 2 blocks away. Our leisurely mornings around the kitchen island were so nice. The kitchen was better supplied than we had expected. Lots of simple supplies we didn't have to bring in from a store, like...coffee, tea, sugar, creamer, milk. It helped make our mornings so nice! « We love to support small farms when we travel and this was a convenient location in between our plans in Portland and Acadia. The cottage is at the top of the hill with panoramic views. We woke up to thick fog which blanketed the scenery in clouds and made for scenery which we don't often get to see. The cottage is brand new and very clean and comfortable. « We stayed for 7 days October 18-25-2025 and we absolutely loved this cottage! The fall foliage was spectacular!! We canoed out to the two islands and it was so fun. We walked the neighborhood, sat on the deck every morning with our coffee watching the sunrise which was epic!
