« What a lovely cottage, beautifully appointed, with a great mixture of all modern conveniences and antique furniture. The kind hosts have thought of everything, from coffee service to toiletries. The setting, on a stream at the foot of Shenandoah National Park, is a serene, wooded slice of heaven. We hope to be back one day. »

« My husband and I stayed here over a long weekend to explore the Staunton area and it worked out nicely. The owners were always very on top of communication, kind, and accommodating. Everything in the home was decorated well, and functioned well for 2 people who like to save a bit and do breakfast in the house and have some leftovers around after eating out. The location was close to downtown and we walked practically everywhere in the downtown area from the house. It does sit atop a pretty steep...

« The cottage is exactly as advertised, but the outdoor area is even prettier than in the photos. The covered patio is perfect for hanging out, and the river is beautiful. A bald eagle flew right by us! The nearby parks are great if you like to walk. »

« The setting is beautiful. I know from my research about the Thorn Creek restoration project some years ago and wow what a success that was. The cottage was so cleanAnd well stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. Can't wait to come back. »

« As advertised This Condo is very clean well equipped unit overlooking the pool with lots of light. A very remote quiet area with lovely Golf course, beautiful new Pickleball Courts each just a block away. The pool was closed for repairs which we were not expecting which limited our activities but this was no fault of the owners. Owners were excellent to work with. We will definitely be returning. »

« We stayed at this property for the 2025 Washington and Lee graduation. It was the perfect choice because it provided a place to relax with grandparents and our family. The property and house was magnificent with great views of the mountains. The house was spacious and just made you feel at home. The hosts were responsive but not intrusive. Our only regret is that we did not find this property sooner in our 4 years worth of travel back and forth to Lexington. »

« Place was very clean and walkable to campus. Plenty of room to spread out. The downstairs bed was super comfortable! We also enjoyed sipping wine on the porch! »

« Able to have privacy but close to where we needed to be. Very Clean and perfect for a work trip or vacation. »

« This was a family gathering to celebrate a UVA graduation. We wanted to stay away from the craziness of Charlottesville. This house was perfect! Everyone in our party raved about how cute, comfy, well laid a house it is! Very well stocked - PLENTY of wine glasses! lol We hit 4 wineries and a brewery (2x) during our stay - all with/in a 5 mile radius! We would highly reccomend and would stay again - for longer - in the future! »

« Our family of 5 stayed at the Gingerbread Cottage for 3 nights to celebrate our daughter's college graduation from JMU. The location was ideal as it was not far from Harrisonburg and close to restaurants. We had fun at Cave Hill Brewery, which was close and had great meals at Thunderbird Cafe (breakfast) and Hank's (great bbq dinner). We highly recommend staying at this property and would return if in the area again. »

« The property is lovely quiet community nice home to spend vacation with family. Very convenient commute to attractions in Massanutten very close to the water park. The Host was extremely helpful with great hospitality any questions I had I got immediate response really nice. Very quiet nice community if you looking for a quiet community to vacation this is it. Definitely would book this home again. »
