« It was great! Onsen and hospitality were outstanding. They drove us everywhere which was great with kids and ski gear. Ski lifts are within easy walking distance. Sleeping the whole family in the same room is the only thing you need to consider and we managed it well. »

« 이 정도급 료칸은 친절도는 그냥 따라온다. 다만 직원분들 영어 실력은 꽤 떨어지는데 아무래도 아직 외국 관광객이 적어서 그런듯 하다. 우리말고 한국팀은 2명 뿐이었다. 카이세키도 아주 훌륭하고 조식도 좋은 편이다. 무엇보다 온천수가 유황으로 매우 좋다. »

« 這趟的旅行是去滑雪，旅館備有乾燥用的雪具室， 並且旅館出去就有公車站牌可以到雪場,很方便 此外，旅館內也有溫泉可以好好泡，有大眾池也有私人池， 和式客房不僅大並且該有的設施都有，每天清掃完房間完之後也會很貼心在桌上放上甜點以及補充冰水和熱水，整體住宿的體驗是很好的，下次來滑雪會再來住 »

« The service at Koshinoyado Takashimaya was unbelievably perfect, consistently exceeding my every expectation. The food was so exceptional that I must say it was better than most any other ryokan I've stayed at. The menu served, the quality of the ingredients and the careful, discerning preparation made each meal an event to look forward to. Yes, this is an older ryokan, but its food and service stand as truly compelling reasons to stay here. »

« Hotel Hanabun was a great ryokan experience! It is nestled in the mountains offering a peaceful getaway from touristy/crowded areas. It had the best onsen water, even the locals went there to bathe! The hosts and staff are all friendly and accommodating to your needs. Google translate was necessary to communicate, but everyone is very patient. The food was incredibly delicious, and they use locally sourced, fresh ingredients. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cozy ryokan. »

« Only the couple managing the property, doing all rooms and check in and dining. So be patient. Even they might not know much English they still provide great service and try to accommodate your needs. Nice restaurants and convenient store around though most close early. Walking distance to the Akakura Obsen Ski area. »

« 新潟の風景と日本酒が大好きで、年に3回ほど魚沼周辺に出かけているが、毎回違う宿泊施設を利用する様にしている。どこに御世話に成っても満足しているが、今回お世話に成った萬歳楽さんは本当に良かった。日帰り入浴もあるので、中々に賑やかな時間もあるが、とても良い温泉ですっかり気に入ってしまった。食事も地の物が主体で、特に自家製の豆腐と野菜が本当に美味しかった。勿論、日本海の魚介も美味しく堪能できた。 地酒は言うに及ばず素晴らしい、自家製のどぶろくは旨すぎて飲みすぎ注意。 朝食も地の物が主体で旨かった。 この辺りに来るときには、必ずこの施設に期待と思う。 最後にこの施設のスタッフの皆さんに感謝とお礼を申し上げたい。 »

« Lotel is located at the hilltop with beautiful view of the bay. It is a little old Ryokan with very hospitable staff. Having one's own transport is advisable. »
