« I was rather intimidated by this listing considering how automotated the whole process is. It’s all done with thorough written instruction and an iPad at check-in/out. I felt like I was doing a scavenger hunt on The Amazing Race or something. Stay the course and read everything carefully. « Location is perfect. Just a few minutes walk from the station and chair lift. Kitchen staff is very thoughtful. I stayed for 3 nights, although all 3 nights were hot pot for dinner with the same ingredients, the soup base was different for every night. Staff are super friendly, making you feel welcome. The only issue I had was on the first night when there kids staying and they ran around the whole lodge making all sort of noise until late. »

« It was great experience staying at this place. Right after we went to gala Yuzawa ski came back to the hotel and dipped ourselves into the large Ofuro in the basement. Smoking was not allowed inside or well outside the house so it was the only problem me and my friends faced during the stay but all in all we enjoyed our stay at the place. Place is warm and cozy. Recommend for friends and family or in groups over 5 people. »

« Never had such delightful hosts. Masao and Yasuko were always available for us. The lodge is confortable and clean. It's a little bit far away from the station and the shops but Masao drove us by car whenever we needed to. Furrhermore, at the end of the day you can also enjoy the hot Japanese bath. The extra breakfast was filling and delicious. We felt like at home and had a wonderful time. I would definitely recommend! »

« Amazing experience overall. This is your home away from home. Place is very spacious, has a lovely retro vibe that brings you back to the 80’s. « Classic modern Japanese Inn with shared bathrooms and onsen, tatami rooms with Japanese bedding. No mens room on the 2nd floor. No staff, check-in and out automated. Basic facilities but all working order. Clean and Good location for exploring Yuzawa area, if you are comfortable with Japanese style travel. »

« During my stays, the staff were very friendly and nice. Room and shared bathroom are clean. Shared bathroom is located in the basement, which is a bit inconvenience tho. Good place for a skiier-friendly and clean place to stay and travel-lite folks. »
