« Really nice place, cosy everything you need close to get to anywere. Would recommend to anyone »

« The house is a really good size, we were impressed with the cleanliness. As someone has already complained about the down stairs tv...it as yet not been fixed. You can only watch for a while if you stream it.The kitchen is missing a potato masher, could also do with a couple of big pans and a couple of bowls. As guests have also said there I'd no spare anything so if 6 people stayed you would struggle.Access with a wheelchair is totally impossible due to the people's which should be mentioned in...

« Fanatic clean would recommend »

« Turtles Nest was a lovely little home from home. »

« It was clean and comfortable, they also supplied the towels and a very nice welcome pack. I would recommend this property to anyone holidaying in the area, we will certainly book sykes cottages again in the future. »

« The owners have thought of everything and more! The kitchen was beautifully fitted and kitted out, the bed we used was very comfortable, and the towels luxurious. The hot tub was a wonderful bonus. I had a question when we arrived, and the owner responded immediately. Our new favorite place! »

« Nice place for a winters stay for a few days »

« Excellent house full of everything you could want from a holiday home. Superb location, minutes from the main street. We absolutely loved our stay here and hope to be back soon. »

« A good place to have as a base to explore the area. Comfortable especially the double bed, and had everything you may need. It's not luxurious but very practical, good for the dog as long as they can get upstairs. The only down side is the proximity to the road although that was only busy at peak times. Very kind of the local pub to allow parking. It served us well while visiting family in Walls end. »

« The cottage was perfect in every way »

« Absolutely brilliant time staying at Lyndhurst, everything was catered for and the host very attentive. Beautifully decorated throughout and the hotel tub was a great additional. Our Teddy loved the enclosed garden!! Great location for visiting local attractions. We loved our stay here and will definately be back!! Thank you »

« Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. »

« Prior to check-in, Sarah was very responsive. The cottage itself was immaculate and so cute. It was a great location for us to stay. Upon checkout, Sarah answered all of our questions nearly immediately regarding what to do with the linens and rubbish. Hoping to stay here again, if our travels bring us in this direction. »

« The cottage is ideally located and the off street parking is a bonus. The property is well laid out and spacious with everything you could need for a relaxing break. We would not hesitate to return. Only a couple of suggestions to make the stay even better. There was a faint smell of drains in the bathroom which built up if the door was closed. The wooden frame round the bed had corners which could catch your legs when walking round it due to the close proximity of the wardrobe. More room...

« Nice cosy dog friendly cottage in a great location. Very friendly host. Cottage was very well equipped for a great week's stay »

« Great apartment right in the town centre. Spacious living space and everything you need for a home from home experience. As the flat is high up you get great views out towards the castle and the roof windows give great views of the stars on a clear night. »
