« First time in Newbiggin and enjoyed it, the town has plenty of resources- a corner shop just round the corner and pubs, takeaways, cafes and a couple of restaurants, a small craft ale bar too. There’s going to be a new bar/café opening any day now just over the road down on the beach which will be handy (and as it’s low down shouldn’t cause any problems). The house was as described, newly done out, well equipped with comfy beds and an unblocked sea view. We used it as a base for exploring the...

« This house is outstanding. Elaine caters for everyone especially children and as we know when the kids are happy the adults can relax. We have stayed for the third time last weekend , it is such a central area with a beach minutes away also. We will be back certainly. »

« Elevated but right on the seafront with a few steps down to the beach. Comfortable property which we loved. There is a garage for the car, but ours was a little big so had to park on the street. Plenty of places to visit nearby. We had a takeaway on night and they deliver to the back door. Loved our stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. »

« The property is very nice, nicely furnished and very clean. We did feel that it lacked in terms of things provided, such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, just one USED dishcloth. No welcome pack with instructions, and parking was very confusing. We unpacked the car a the rear of the house, which upset the neighbour. We parked in the nearby public car park for the duration of our stay. We were also disappointed to find out that there was no live TV channels. »

« Sandpiper cottage is spacious and comfortable. It was quiet and peaceful. It is minutes from the beach and the lovely promenade. There are lots of places in the town to eat. It is in a great area for visiting lots of interesting places. I highly recommend this cottage. »

Le petit déjeuner est un peu...bizarre...(self service dans le couloir), mais les chambres étant très grandes, avec des magasins très proches, on peut facilement acheter un petit déjeuner pas cher et revenir le prendre dans la chambre. Les chambres sont très grandes, cuisine, avec tous les ustensiles nécessaires. J'y retournerais sans hésiter. »

« The check-in process was confusing as I didn’t know I had to go to the Holiday Inn. Maybe that’s on me as the information could’ve been in an email. However, James at the Holiday Inn got me checked in quickly and was very kind in the process. The apartment suited our needs and we enjoyed our stay. The only thing I can recommend is a fresh coat of paint and some other minor decor changes to spruce the place up a bit. »

« We had issue with our original property. However, it was esybto communicate with the staff and they promptly moved us to a different property which is even much more better than the previous. Staff were courteous and responded to our needs promptly. Its been less than a few days we moved out. Hence, i am awaiting a refund of the deposit paid. « We loved our stay here. After a horrible nine hour journey we were pretty miserable when we arrived. However, when we saw the cottage we were delighted! The pictures absolutely do not do it justice. It’s well maintained, clean and comfortable. The beds were super comfy too. We were delighted to see the goats out the front the next morning and raced out to chat to them 😀 The owners are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. If we can face the journey again we will be back and for longer! »
