This hotel is wonderful. Conveniently located and the rooms were clean and large. The free breakfast and shuttle service was fantastic. Staff were helpful and friendly. Loved it and would stay again!

It was a great time at the residence inn. Mark and Kevin, two of the front desk agents were helpful and informative with how to get about Queens and in the city in general. They offered great spaces to experience NY, always smiling and great conversationalist. The transit of the hotel shuttle was timely and enjoyable and it is right outside of a bus station that can take you further into Jamaica, which made getting to terminals and subways easy for those that don't want to drive. Downsides were that there were 2 times we could've smelt paraphernalia in our room, maybe due to the HVAC systems, it doesn't last long but it's noticeable. Other downside was the neighbourhood itself was filled with litter and debris, making it a bit unsightly. It was cleaner by the time we left though, and we stayed for about 5 days.

We chose this hotel for its free airport shuttle, to get as much sleep as possible. This was a mistake. We had to make two phone calls and wait 50 minutes for the shuttle bus. Next, the room was prepared for two instead of three people, so the bedding for the sofabed was missing. Reception said they would send housekeeping. This only happened 1 hour later, after repeating the request. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was OK. So, my opinion: the hotel is good, but if you arrive at JFK in the evening and want to sleep soon after arrival, consider other options.
