« Tge place was fantastic, tucked away from the busy noise of the city but still very accessible by foot, bus, or taxi. The kitchen was perfect for what we needed. Its a great spot for a couple, but would be crowded with more people. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the unplugged aspect of it made it even better. »

« Gorgeous, charming house in a cute neighborhood. Perfect mix of traditional Japanese and Western amenities. Fairly close (but hilly) walk to many Kyoto sites and amenities. The perfect place for a small group to have a cozy, relaxing stay in Kyoto. I'd love to stay here again! »

« This is a beautiful property that is well managed and immaculately clean. The location is excellent – a 20 minute walk from Gion and 15 minutes to Kiyomiza-dera. It was built in a traditional Japanese Zen style but is updated with modern conveniences. There is a real sense of place and character. Communication with the manager was prompt and clear. The neighborhood was quiet. This is a reasonably priced location for all it offers, and we would not hesitate to return. »
