Firstly, this is not a cheap hotel, however this hotel was not ready for foreign customers. The setting wifi service was extremely not friendly for their foreign customers if they do not have a local phone number. Secondly, I booked for a nonsmoking room, but the smoke smell was very badly when I just got into the room. And they even only provide “one” TV channel!!

Disappointing
The carpet in the room was not very clean to the point that I felt uncomfortable walking around with bare feet. The bed was very hard and didn't have a topper. Good location, but public transport in Nanjing is very good, so I would consider staying elsewhere in future. Breakfast was ok but there were only few Western choices. As Novotel is a French brand I hoped for a decent quality Croissant, but unfortunately they were small, stale and inedible

I have issues with this hotel, although our stay is comfortable. My card was charged for a ¥990 transaction which I have no idea what it was. It wasn't the deposit of ¥1200 which was refunded to my card. This transaction was actually billed! I went to their official website to email for a billing invoice but the email address listed: novotel@novotel-nanjing-central.com was an invalid email address that bounced back. I resorted to messaging them via Expedia but there was no response. I have no idea what I can do to refute or to clarify these billing, leaving me with no choice but to pay for them. Horrible experience with this hotel billing!

立地が良い快適なホテル
観光旅行で利用しました。地下鉄1, 2号線の新街口駅14番出口を出ると、すぐにNOVOTELのビルが見えました。中山陵や夫子廟、総統府、鶏鳴寺などの観光地の最寄駅まで地下鉄で15分以内くらいでアクセスでき、立地は最高だと思いました。朝食のビュッフェは洋食や中華料理、韓国料理など多くの種類が揃っており、どれも美味しかったです。客室は、浴槽はありませんでしたが、十分な広さのシャワールームと清潔な独立洗面台、ウォシュレット付トイレがありました。室内は自動で暖房が入っていました。ベッドもふかふかで、バスローブやシャンプー、ドライヤーなどの備品も充実しています。毎日部屋にミネラルウォーターのペットボトルが補充されていて嬉しかったです。無料のWifiも快適に使用できました。3階に広めの綺麗なジムがあり、朝早くから自由に入れました。最終日、チェックアウト後に荷物も預かってくれるほか、スタッフは皆さん英語OKで、とても快適だったので、また利用したいです！

Staff at check in was warm and friendly. However, room condition was poor. The aircon broke down on the 2nd day and since we were checking out the next day, staff did not bother to offer us to change room. The technician eventually brought a fan into the room for ventilation. The window opening was not big so ventilation was minimal. It was a warm and stuff night to sleep through.

Location near metro station and is right in downtown and across from Walmart. Staff can speak English. Thanks to Tina at reception who assisted us and recommended a good restaurant for Nanjing food. Good variety at breakfast buffet. Would recommend this hotel.

Great location could use some updates
The hotel is in a great location with metro a 5 minute walk, with plenty of restaurants and shops all around the neighborhood. The hotel offers a good breakfast buffet with great hours to serve the business and leisure guest. Downside: uncomfortable/lumpy bed and some mod in the shower. Staff are very helpful

An excellent hotel to stay in Nanjing
The hotel location is superb, right in the city centre. Walking distance to everywhere. Friendly staff who speaks excellent English. The buffet breakfast is delicious with very good Western and Chinese food

Property was located much further from the MRT than it appeared from the reviews - it is between two MRT stations but is at least a good 10 mins walk away from either. The room was in good condition and cleanliness was satisfactory. We were next to the service entrance and constantly heard door banging at most hours.

I understand that the noise level was an issue during your stay, and I have shared your review with our security team to ensure that work to actively address this in the future. We currently have additional security and overnight managers available during high traffic periods, and we will be looking at opportunities to better deploy these staff members to ensure all of our guests find the outstanding experiences they have come to expect from our brand.
