Though this host provided info about parking, even alerting us to pay attention to street parking signs, they failed to mention the critical information that there is no vehicular traffic for blocks surrounding the property. Major construction with no cars allowed. Obviously, someone renting a property like this is coming from out of town, and if you can’t actually park out front, you assume that you’ll be able to pull up in front to drop off luggage, food and other supplies for the weekend. We went around in circles for more than an hour trying to just figure out what block the property was located on, since we couldn’t get close to it! Desperate for a bathroom we parked in the nearest (too expensive) lot. We had to make multiple trips for blocks to get our stuff out of the car and into the property. Not a great way to begin our vacation. I complained to the Bakan agent who dismissed my concern by saying that construction is not under their control. Of course it’s not, but it’s critical information for people needing to access the property under your control. There were broken items inside, but that paled in comparison to the failure to notify about inaccessibility.
