Hi Lyne, Due to the historic nature of our hotel, we are unable to have AC. The front desk is happy to provide a fan to keep you cool!

Liked the bedroom but there was no fridge. Didn’t like the bathroom. Light switches were weirdly located. Shower was dark and wall mounted soap dispensers didn’t give out much. Shampoo dispenser fell off the wall. No fan. Too few towels. NO HOUSEKEEPING even for 3-night stay and even when requested. Front desk temporarily “lost” an important item delivered by Fed Ex.

The property is in need of some improvement. It is a little tired and probably lives off a previously acceptable standard. The property does not have air conditioning which for a Californian hotel charging the amount it does is a major omission. The only way of cooling the rooms is a stand alone fan and leaving the window open which if your room is street facing then the traffic noise is excessive not made any better by 2 street inspection plates which make a row when traffic travels over them. Location is good for wharf and there are restaurants bars nearby. Valet parking fine if expensive though there are alternatives. All in all the hotel is somewhat a little disappointing.

This hotel is filled with antique furniture and was very comfortable. It was conveniently located by restaurants and was within walking distance to several attractions.

The historic room was quite small. Hardly any room to move around. No parking. Up side, staff was friendly and helpful. Tuesdays they have a farmers market was in front of the hotel and it was good. Close to everything.

Didn’t sleep last night. The mattress is good but with windows open - no ac- we had too much city noise and woke to garbage trucks.

I liked the history of the place and the antiques and care they have for the style of the original 1904 design. It's situated walking distance from the wharf and a short drive to Cannery Row. It's also surrounded by several restaurants and shops. The room we stayed in didn't have A/C, so that might be challenging in the Summer. But it has a lovely fireplace, which warms the room pretty well. My husband and I are older, so it's helpful to have safety bars in bathroom and unfortunately this room didn't have that. It was difficult for me to get out of that deep tub. We will return, and perhaps stay in one of the historical rooms next time.

This is my second time staying here, it’s a lovely older hotel that is very clean and well located. I always feel safe and comfortable here. The staff is very kind as well.

The room we had was nice. There are no mini fridges or microwaves in any of the rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. However, this is not a handicap friendly hotel. Unless you can walk down a very steep flight of stairs to check in or if you have someone else who can check in for you, then you will not be able to stay here. The layout of the hotel clerks desk is kind of in a weird place. There is no parking lot available, only limited street parking. The mattress in our room was the most comfortable mattress both my husband and I have EVER slept on! It was just incredible! The hotel advertised as having breakfast, but there was only coffee and granola bars, nothing else during our 3 night stay. The shower was huge but the water pressure was very low-flow. Keep in mind that this is an extremely old historic building. The view from our window was of the other guests window ha ha. For the price I guess it’s not bad considering it’s in a great area and walking distance to tons of restaurants and clubs. If you are checking in on a Tuesday please keep in mind that the entire street in front of the lobby is closed off for a type of street fair, EVERY Tuesday. Also, there is NO air conditioner or heating in any of their rooms. They do provide portable little heaters and fans. It was freezing outside during our stay but our room temperature was absolutely perfect without having to turn on the little heater. Would I stay again? Probably not.

Paid extra for a “delux” room for the fireplace which didn’t work. Maintenance never followed up after calling front desk. Terrible street noise because windows weren’t properly sealed. Check in confirmed for 3pm and it wasn’t ready after a long drive

Cute property and very walkable area. The furniture and style in the rooms was fun and very period-inspired, but so are the walls and windows so it was very loud in the room with traffic and bird noise.
