Peaceful Hideaway

Lovely little property set in a quiet location and surrounded by plenty of bushwalking options. Host Walter has set up the ideal place for getting away from it all and that's exactly what this experience delivered - a much needed break from the big city and the perfect finale to an extended Easter vacation. Will be sure to return.

Einfach nur toll

Die Unterkunft liegt abgelegen und ist eine schöne Pause vom Stadtleben. Man kann super auf der Terrasse entspannen und alle möglichen Tiere (Kängurus und eine Vielzahl von Vögeln) beobachten. Der nächste Ort ist mit 7 km auch nicht zuweit entfernt. Hier bekommt man alles für den Alltag.

Ideal get-away

This is a very special place if you're looking for a place to escape the city and find serenity and peace surrounded by nature. The view from the balcony is wonderful - it's not one of those elevated views where you look into the distance, but instead you have the orchard below you and the edge of the forest beyond that. And you can watch the sunset in the evening. The cottage itself is comfortable and homely. Highly recommended.

Walter was a helpful host. The Orchard Cottage is an authentic rustic cottage within a very tranquil rural/bush setting making it the ideal place for a very peaceful break, great for bird watching and we saw lots of Kookaburras which was lovely. Seeing the horses was also a great treat. Along with the other amenities the cottage was equipped with lovely hot water, electric blankets and the cold water was delicious.

Best sleep ever

My partner had the best sleep of his life. Everything was well-equipped. We were there in the middle of winter, and it was freezing, but the fire was warm. A visit from two king parrots was a good highlight. Thanks for letting us stay.

Country charm and tranquility

Orchard cottage is a cosy, comfortable 1BR cottage in a lovely peaceful bush setting near Gembrook. The facilities are excellent with a very well-equipped kitchen and bathroom. The front deck looks over pretty views of the orchard and farmland hills, and is great for al fresco meals. I loved the extremely quiet location - no sound of cars or dogs the whole time I was there - and had a very enjoyable stay.

Peace and quiet

Going from the busy city to the peace and quiet of the Gembrook lodge was the perfect escape weekend for us & our little dog. We even got to pat the horses! Would visit again & recommend to anyone that wants a relaxing weekend away. Thanks Walter.

Cosy cottage with loft bedroom and pot belly fire

My husband, myself and small dog stayed for three nights in Walter's cottage. The fire was ready to be lit when we arrived, lots of kindling and wood and everything spotless. The bedroom was upstairs and had great outlook over the countryside. Everything was provided and lots of spare rubbish bags, sponges and detergent.. (not like some places where you get bare minimum).. Lovely towns nearby and even a resident Kookaburra... We will definitely return..

Tranquill and Relaxing

Just what my hubby and I needed to unplug for a few days with our fur babies. Walter was a lovely host and the cottage was cosy. Close to alot of trails and the horses on the property was a bonus. Will definitely stay here again!

cozy away

The cabin was clean and bed was very comfy. I just didnt check before leave, there is no Wi-Fi. The cabin was really warm with fire wood and cozy. I took my dog as well. She running aroumd in farm and loves so much.

Great little cottage.

Cosy, in an idyllic and tranquil setting. Walter was very helpful. The cottage is tucked away in a private corner of the property. An open fireplace with plenty of wood kept us toasty.

Peaceful break in Gembrook

We stayed for 7 nights while I attended a dog training course with my standard poodle nearby. The house was very comfortable, and clean and the surroundings were peaceful with wonderful walks surrounded by majestic trees and birdsong. Walter greeted us upon arrival and made us feel very much at home. We look forward to staying again.

The cottage was fabulous. So peaceful and quiet. Awesome fire. Has everything you need for a weekend

Great little walking track at back of property. Dog friendly. Everything you need for a chilled out weekend away. Cosy and comfortable. Comfy bed upstairs in loft had great feel to it. Would stay again in a heart beat!!!!
