Decor depressing, shoddy and could say pretty repulsive. No phones or information in rooms. Fire alarm went off in night and no way to find if real or accidental, plus our escape route was an immense distance and possibly dangerous. No explanation, no apology, no reassurance. Also dining room shoddy and dull. Artefacts and furniture around hotel in disgraceful decrepit condition. Bathrooms new and fine except for lavatory which was so low down as to be absurdly unpleasant to use. Method of payment dodgy ? Will we get our money back for shortening our stay ?. A shambles.

Beautiful hotel, the room was comfy and had everything we needed. The bathroom and shower was modern and clean. Great location to walk around Ludlow. We didnt eat or drink in the hotel, it seemed expensive compared to the places around.

Quite a quirky period property with its little idiosyncrasies (slopping/undulating bedroom floors). Ideal for a short stay to explore Ludlow Adequate parking spaces but slightly shoe horned spaces. Staff pleasant and helpful the only criticism was the complicated and convoluted way in which they present your final invoice for your stay, but got there in the end.

The smell in my room was so bad, it seemed to be from the shower drain, I did not sleep as a result. I told the desk in the morning and they didn't charge me for my dinner and breakfast, a total of 30 pounds. My room still cost 108 pounds, and they also charged me 70 pounds to hold my credit card but didnt deduct it from the room rate. Also the lift was broken and my room was in the 2nd floor. The tables in the dining room are sticky, either need refinishing or a good clean.

Ancient hotel on 3 floors. Charming, but our stay as handicapped guests was destroyed by unannounced fact the lift didn't work. Had to hand carry 8 bags up a steep, narrow, winding staircase....totally irresponsible of owners. At a minimum owners should warn elderly about conditions.

The mixture of modern and old within this building and the decor has been so well done; bringing both chracter and comfort. There is so much to do within the surrounding area, such as Ludlow Castle, Church, Museum, nature walks and an abundance of shops and nice restaurants and all within walking distance of the hotel. The staff are friendly, helpful and approachable. We will be staying here again! Thank you for a lovelt stay.

A very friendly hotel, all staff were pleasant and polite. The evening meal was excellent. As a party of eight each meal was tasty, piping hot and very well presented. The accommodation was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend The Feathers, Ludlow. Excellent!

The room was clean and tidy and the bed was comfy. The area of the hotel was quite noisy as we were woken up by a door banging along the corridor. 4 pm check in seemed really late to get access to the room

Very pleasant overnight stay.
Lovely, old hotel. Excellent service. Room was very small (different sizes are available) but well stocked with toiletries, courtesy tray items etc. May be difficult for those with disabilities or large amounts of luggage, as there are several changes of level, steps etc. due to the age and characteristics of the building.

Beautiful and historical property in a gorgeous town. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Able to leave the car in the carpark before check in and after check out which meant we had a relaxing time not having to worry about this.

Perfect for our 3 night stay
Three night stay for the horse racing. Ideally placed in Ludlow town centre and free shuttle return to the races from the train station. Decent size car park £7.50 per night. Nice size room, clean and comfortable, complimentary water, coffee, tea and shortbread biscuits in room refreshed daily. Pleasant staff. Would recommend if stopping in Ludlow.

The Curates feathers
So much about this hotel is wonderful, the location, the rooms, the dining room and the service at breakfast were all wonderful. However an overall lack of service let it down. The bar is too small and has too small a selection of drinks, no Irish Whiskey yet has 8 different types of Ludlow Gin. The front door seemed to be locked most of the time we were there preventing casual walk ups for drinks by locals. In spite of a set price two course menu our food bill was incorrect on both nights due to extra drinks being added to the bill. The car park is inadequate and there were certain vehicles which did not move for the duration of our stay. There was no housekeeping following the first night we stayed.

Comfy short stay
Handy parking, comfortable room with refurbished bathroom. We opted for a cosy room which to be honest was perfect for the one night we stayed. Towels were big and fluffy, bed comfortable , in fact the room had all we needed. Breakfast wasn't the best however as bacon was undercooked and tea was served Luke warm. Expected better to be honest. Everything in the town is in walking distance which is ideal.
