A beautiful stay in Tuscany
The two of us and our dog spent a wonderful week in Massimo's house, with a change of scenery guaranteed. The house is surrounded by olive trees and is completely immersed in nature without being isolated. Massimo was extremely kind and available, with very good advice for visiting the region. We just had a problem with the hot water and he came the same day to fix the problem. I would recommend without hesitation!

Magnifique, Typique, paisible
Merveilleuse maison de style toscan, intérieur très bien équipé et jardins parfaitement entretenus, fidèle au descriptif. Etant donné sa localisation sur les hauteurs et sans voisinage, l’accès se mérite. L’endroit rêvé pour la ‘Dolce Vita’. Nous avons vraiment apprécié notre hôte : il nous a donné RDV à la sortie de l’autoroute et nous a guidé jusqu’à la maison pour la remise des clés et toutes les explications nécessaires. Il nous a également été de très bon conseil, notamment pour les restaurants aux alentours, excellentes recommandations ! Egalement apprécié : chiens bienvenus :)

Que dire de plus que .... Exceptionnel ! Si vous aimez le calme et la sérénité ... c'est une location à ne pas manquez Le chant des oiseaux pour seule compagnie, une vue de rêve .... une maison très propre et décorée avec goût ... et un hôte, Massimo, absolument adorable et très disponible si besoin. Qui a su nous donner de très bons conseils sur la région et pour la vie au quotidien pendant notre séjour ! Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés, je peux vous assurer que vous ne serez pas déçu !

Great home !
Very nice place to stay in Toscana. It was very pleasant to live in this house. Massimo is a great host, that welcomes you in Lucca and bring you to his house and gives you lots of advice. Very calm place, stunning view from the terrace, we really had a good time here.

Beautiful house on a hillside, very quiet
We had a great stay. Massimo was easy to contact, he met us in town and lead us to the house and indicated what we could see and do in the area. The house was very clean, with all amenities . It was very calm and cool in the evenings. Very charming. Good restaurants in the villages around which are not too touristy. I strongly recommend!

So quiet - the house screams quiet :-)
So many comments already about this lovely house, that it is difficult to find words unused before. It's true that the drive up to the house can be daunting to some, but how could you otherwise have such a splendid view if not from the top of the hill. It is so quiet, especially in the evening, that it almost takes some getting used to. Nowadays, one is not used to so much quiet anymore. It was wonderful. The experience wouldn't be the same without Massimo, who is a true gentleman. As we were travelling with a dog, he even had tips for beach walks for us. We also took advantage of the "cook in the house" option. Since the regular cook was unavailable, he arranged for another, Flavio, who cooked a lovely dinner for our anniversary.

Maison très propre et dans un beau charme italien
Maison très propre, il faudrait simplement que les joints de la douche de la chambre du haut (avec jouets anciens) soient blanchis. Un petit défaut dans l'évier de la cuisine qui n'est pas de niveau, et nous devons pousser l eau à la main pour l'évacuation. Cette maison est vraiment très mignonne, décorée avec goût et dans le style italien. Tout y est. Chaque chambre est magnifique, et détient une salle de bains et toilettes. Les moustiquaires à chaque fenêtre sont très appréciables. Le lieu est magnifique, un beau paysage, avec au loin la ville de Lucca. Situation idéale entre Florence et Pise. Massimo est très accueillant et veille à ce que tout aille bien. Massimo n'est pas avare de conseils et de bonnes adresses. Pour Florence, il nous a conseillé le bus en partant de Lucca, ce qui évite les difficultés à trouver des parkings. De plus nous arrivons à la gare de Florence. Nous gardons encore dans notre cœur cet endroit magnifique et calme. Adresse à recommander pour les amoureux de la nature, du calme, et du charme italien.

Eine Perle von einem Ferienhaus!
Erstmal: die vergebenen Sterne sind uns absolut ernst, wir sind begeistert! Das Haus ist äusserst gepflegt sowie geschmackvoll und stimmig eingerichtet. Die Schlafzimmer sind komfortabel und jedes mit eigenem vollständigem Bad, man kommt sich keine Sekunde in die Quere. Die Küche bietet alles notwendige in guter Qualität und - wir sind da recht pingelig - wir mussten nicht mal die Gläser vor Gebrauch auswischen, alles tiptop! Aber das Highlight war dann der offensichtlich von einem professionellen Gärtner gepflegte Garten und der wundervolle Blick über die Stadt Lucca zu den entfernten sanften Hügel. Unser Vermieter hat sich vom ersten bis zum letzten Moment mit grosser Herzlichkeit und (im positivsten Sinn) professionell um alle unsere Belange gekümmert. Alle Kostenfragen (Taxen und Kosten für Gas etc.) wurden transparent und fair gehandhabt, keine negativen Überraschungen. Wir haben eine wunderbare Ferienwoche erlebt, an die wir uns immer gerne erinnern... und die wir vermutlich auch zu gegebener Zeit wiederholen werden. In diesem Sinne hier auch unseren herzlichen Dank und liebe Grüsse an unseren Vermieter!

Absolutes Traumhaus
Wir können das Haus von Massimo nur empfehlen. Eine traumhafte Lage, von wo aus Lucca oder das Meer sehr gut erreichbar sind, aber dennoch ruhig und abseits des Trubels idyllisch gelegen. Grandiose Aussicht und sehr gut ausgestattet. Massimo ist mit seiner feinen Art unglaublich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wohlfühlen garantiert!

Amazing stay in a wonderful villa!
Planned this trip with my two siblings and my sister in law and we are so happy we chose Massimo’s Villa! Massimo is a wonderful host and went above and beyond to accommodate us on a very late arrival time due to some airline delays. We should have arrived at 3pm but due to delays and being rerouted through Rome we did not arrive until 1am. Massimo’s suggestions for restaurants and winery visits were on point and setting us up with a Chef to cook dinner for us at the Villa made for a very memorable evening. Would not hesitate to stay at this property again! 5 Stars!!!

Nós hospedamos por 19 dias na casa de Massimo , que foi um ótimo anfitrião. Casa confortável , com uma vista lunda da montanha. Encontramos todos os itens necessários para nossa estadia. Caminho um pouco difícil para chegar a casa no ultimo trecho ( pequeno trecho). Como sugestão : trocar o sofa e uma TV maior .

Erholsames Ferienhaus in den Bergen
Das Ferienhaus liegt in den Bergen oberhalb von Lucca sehr schön und ist optimal, wenn man sich abseits des Trubels erholen möchte. Besonders gefallen hat uns die Terrasse mit der herrlichen Aussicht. Massimo ist ein sehr umsichtiger und netter Vermieter, der uns zu Beginn alles ausführlich erklärt und auch einige Tipps für mögliche Ausflugsziele gegeben hat. Der letzte halbe Kilometer des Wegs ist etwas eng, aber wir haben es mit dem Opel Zafira gut geschafft. Der Strand Mare e Dune ist wunderschön. Allerdings braucht man dorthin etwa 40 Minuten mit dem Auto.

This place is just wonderful and Massimo is THE BEST host. The place doesn't have air conditioning, but don't let that put you off. We stayed there when it was unusually hot and it was still cool enough inside to sleep. The windows are all fitted with screens, so you can have the window without worry of insects getting in. The house has everything you can possibly need. Loved it. There's not a thing we would change!

Tolles Haus und wunderbarer Vermieter - un Casa fantastica è un padrone di casa meraviglioso
Das Haus liegt in den Bergen oberhalb von Lucca und ist sehr gemütlich. Es ist ein typisches toskanisches Haus. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Umgeben ist es von einem wunderbaren Garten. Von der Terrasse ein toller Blick nach Lucca. Massimo ist ein wunderbarer Vermieter, der sehr rührend für seine Gäste sorgt und sehr wertvolle Empfehlungen zu Restaurants, Supermärkten, freien Parkplätzen und freien Stränden hat. Und die toskanische Landschaft ist ohnehin fantastisch. La casa si trova sulle montagne sopra Lucca ed è molto confortante. È una tipica casa toscana. Ha tutto ciò che serve. È circondata da un meraviglioso giardino. Dalla terrazza si gode di una splendida vista su Lucca. Massimo è un padrone di casa meraviglioso che si prende cura dei suoi ospiti in modo molto toccante e ha consigli preziosi su ristoranti, supermercati, parcheggi gratuiti e spiagge libere. E la campagna e le città toscana è naturalmente fantastica. Grazie mille di tutto

Fijn verblijf in de heuvels van Lucca
Fijn en mooi huis in een stille en zeer groene omgeving. Groot genoeg voor 2 volwassenen en 3 tieners. Het is een geschenk om de ochtenden op het terras te beginnen en de dag in stilte af te sluiten. Ook een fijn zonneterras aan de zijkant van het huis waar onze jongste dochter haar hart kon ophalen. We hebben ook genoten van de omgeving: Lucca, Pisa, de stranden van Camaiore, kajak, wandelen en een boottocht langs de Cinque Terre. Verhuurder Massimo is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Enige minpunt waren de vele muggen. Maar die hebben ook recht op hun stukje natuur ;) We hopen ooit voor een langere periode neer te kunnen strijken!

Massimo, unser netter Vermieter brachte uns in diesen Traum von einem toskanischen Haus. Wir waren direkt schockverliebt. Romantisch verspielt, aber nicht kitschig, eingerichtet, fühlt man sofort Urlaub pur. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf Lucca - einfach herrlich. Im Haus ist alles vorhanden, was man für einen Selbstverpfleger-Urlaub braucht. Auch eine Waschmaschine! Massimo war jederzeit ansprechbar und hat auch sehr gute Empfehlungen gegeben. Alles in allem: es war perfekt!

Einfach toll
Wir waren mit zwei Familien (je 2 Erwachsene mit Kind) in diesem tollen Haus. Wunderschön gelegen in den Hügeln hinter Lucca mit tollem Panorama, vielen tollen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten und dem Strand in 30 Min. Fahrweite. Das Haus ist super eingerichtet, es ist an alles gedacht. Sehr sauber. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Die Küche beinhaltet alles was man braucht. Die zwei Zimmer im Obergeschoss sind geräumig und haben beide das Bad im Zimmer. Das Zimmer unten ist etwas kleiner, dafür kühler und das Bad ist seperat über die Küche zu erreichen. So hat man aber auch für alle im Erdgeschoss noch eine Toilette zur Verfügung. Die Terrasse ist sehr groß mit unterschiedlichen Sitzmöglichkeiten bis zu 4 Liegen in einem kleinen Gartenstück neben dem Haus. Unsere Erwartungen wurden mehr als übertroffen und wir haben den Urlaub hier sehr genossen. Vielen Dank an Massimo

A fantastic Lucca dream vacation.
We really loved our stay at this Tuscan farmhouse, we did not want to leave. The setting was perfect, up in the hills overlooking Lucca just a few miles distant. We had various family members coming and going throughout our stay. There was plenty of privacy for all with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. There is wonderful shared spaces to enjoy, the views from the terrace were spectacular. We were able to enjoy afternoon aperitivo as we relaxed in the setting sun. The full kitchen allowed us to make many meals from the treasures we found while roaming the countryside. The place was very clean and well set up, we were able to meet our host Massimo and move right in. The house is located perfectly, we could leave the house and be in the city walls of Lucca within 20 minutes. Groceries, gas, and pharmacies all within 10 minutes or so. From the house we drove to Pisa in 30 minutes, Lido di Camaiore (beach) 35 minutes, Florence a little more than an hour by train or car, Siena, Pienza, Arezzo 2 hours or less by car. Being so close to Lucca we really got to know the city. It’s easy to cover on foot, and there are many very good restaurants, and a great, more relaxed vibe than the more touristy cities in Tuscany. Our host Massimo was terrific, in fact the best we have encountered. We felt like valued guests. He even helped sorting out a parking ticket for us. Recommended a private chef for a special dinner that we loved. Massimo gets our highest recommendation.

We had a great time at this house. Everything was as good or better as expected or hoped for and we even got lucky with the weather in november and had lots of sunny days. One info that might be useful for families with big cars: The house is located quite remotely on a beautiful hilltop. The last part of the road is sometimes narrow and if you have a big / long car (as we do) you have to take your time to get to the top ;-). All in all we couldn't have wished for a better house!

As Good As It Gets
We stayed in Massimo's beautiful house as a family of 6 for one week in October. The house is large enough for 6 people, beautifully decorated and we felt at home from the first minute. Everything was perfect from beginning to end, and the variety of options made this vacation special. Sightseeing and shopping in Lucca or Pisa, swimming in the sea, hiking in the nearby hills, enjoying restaurants in neighbor villages or simply staying on the amazing terrace, this place has something for everyone! And if you need more information and support, Massimo will help quickly with suggestions. If you are looking for a true 5 star location, this is it. We will be happy to visit again!

Sehr schönes Haus
Das Haus in den Bergen über Lucca ist super schön. Sehr liebevoll eingerichtet und hat einen tollen Ausblick. Es gibt 3 Schlafzimmer und 3 Bäder, was für uns drei Frauen perfekt war. Auch mein Hund hat sich wohlgefühlt. Das Haus hat nur keinen eingezäunten Garten, somit konnte ich meinen Hund nicht alleine draußen lassen, da auch eine Katze und ein kleiner Hund auf den angrenzenden Grundstücken leben. Der Besitzer ist sehr hilfsbereit und steht einem mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Die Straße ist sehr schmal und ich musste sie ein paar mal hoch und runter fahren um mich daran zu gewöhnen. Es waren 4 tolle Tage im Haus über den Bergen von Lucca.

Ein schön eingerichtets Ferienhaus in ruhiger Traumlage in den Hügeln oberhalb von Lucca. Massimo, der Vermieter holte uns pünktlich am Mc Donalds in Lucca ab und führte uns mit seinem Auto zum Haus. Die steile und teils enge Anfahrt ist anfangs gewöhnungsbedürftig aber gut zu bewältigen. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und gut eingerichtet. Abends auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und über Lucca und alle Hügel zu blicken ist ein Traum. Bei Fragen ist Massimo per whatsapp umgehend mit Antworten zur Hand. Wir haben uns eine Woche sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen beim nächsten Mal gerne wieder. Danke nochmals an Massimo für die Betreuung.

Beautiful house, amazing location
Massimo was a wonderful host, super helpful, enabling us to enjoy our week in this lovely house. The property had everything that we needed, the location is quiet and chilled, but still within easy reach of Lucca, the coast, etc. The surroundings, topped-off by the view from the terrace are simply beautiful.

Wunderschön!
Ein liebevoll dekoriertes, sehr schönes Haus mit einem herrlichen Blick auf Lucca. Es eignet sich wunderbar als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Pisa, Florenz, an den Strand oder in die Garfagnana. Massimo ist ein wunderbarer, sehr aufmerksamer Gastgeber, der jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite steht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein Traum
Wir haben jetzt 2 Wochen in Massimos Haus verbracht und wir sind absolut begeistert. Alles ist so wie beschrieben oder noch besser. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt und Massimo ist immer erreichbar sollte es Probleme geben. So hatten wir angemerkt das die Olivenbäume etwas die Sicht einschränken. Am nächstem Tag ( Sonntag!) war der Gärtner da und hat es gerichtet. Wir haben jeden Morgen auf der wundervollen Terrasse gefrühstückt und die grandiose Aussicht auf Lucca genossen. Bitte unbedingt der Restaurant Empfehlung von Massimo folgen. Dort gibt es Original toskanische Küche zu unglaublich günstigen Preisen. Ja die Auffahrt zum Haus ist ein wenig eng aber selbst mit zwei Sportwagen war das kein Problem. Wenn wir nochmal in die Gegend um Lucca wollen, kommen wir auf alle Fälle wieder.

Stunning Hillside Retreat
A delightful property in the hills of Lucca away from the bustling crowds but still only a short distance away. The perfect retreat! The property is even better than the photos, we lived outdoors on the terrace with far reaching views. Enjoying the gentle Summer breezes. Massimo was a wonderful host, always available if required and provided fabulous recommendations for surrounding restaurants and attractions. We would not hesitate to recommend this charming traditional Tuscan villa. Massimo we can’t wait to return and enjoy your hospitality and the delights of your villa once again.

Wunderschönes Haus in den Bergen bei Lucca
Wunderbar ruhig und idylisch gelegen. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und toll ausgestattet! Die Anfahrt ist eng, war aber auch mit unserem Mercedes Viano machbar. Für Lucca und Umgebung ideal!
