« First impression was NOT good. Ignored by staff when we tried to check in to our room. NO parking outside the pub. I queried about it after we made the booking via their email but got no answer. The window in the room, old fashion style, was DANGEROUS, heavy to push up and difficult to open. The window was cracked so clearly someone had dropped it when trying to open it. Had to be propped open with a a wooden structure. Needed 2 people to do it. The kitchen fans were REALLY noisy, went on...

« Very nice surprise with the location at the bottom of Roseberry Toppin , didn’t know about this until we arrived . The hotel is a treat to stay there. We were going to a friends house in Whitby and travelling from west of Scotland. Hence it was good to stop off , we visited Stokesley near bye and loved the English village life . We will stop here again and the cost was worth it. »

« What a suprise , I don’t think the this hotel was advertised well enough, a beautiful property in large well maintained grounds, friendly , polite staff, good breakfast and so clean, nowhere was overlooked, I will recommend and definitely come again. »

« While we liked the theme of the pub, and the staff were friendly, the stay was let down by a poor nights sleep due to very thin walls and chatter in the pub past 11pm (despite the pub closing at 10). I did complain, and the noise did stop after some time, but it took a significant amount of time to get to sleep even after that. The pillows were also not to our preference, being extremely soft, but we didn’t raise this with staff (as we only stayed one night) so we don’t know if there were any...

« Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the middle of the North York Moors National Park. The room was very clean, the linen of high quality and the bed was very comfortable. All the amenities worked. The rooms are above the pub so there was some chatter and music. This wasn’t a problem for me. The breakfast was delicious. I would stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful stay. »

« We had a one night stop here in October. The room had been redecorated reasonably recently, the bathroom also looked very modern, all very clean. A new mattress wouldn't go amiss though. The staff were very friendly and helpful, for our evening meal we had a pizza, which was ok, it was tasty and very filling. We didn't have breakfast so cant comment. The absolute best thing about this hotel is sitting outside the front having a drink and admiring a stunning view! That alone would bring us...
