« We had a really lovely stay at the Cart Lodge in early October. The hosts kindly left us some local bread, eggs, jam and biscuits which was a lovely welcome. Everything was very clean and well looked after. The beds very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely and warm. Firewood had been provided, however we didn't need to use it. TV had lots of options. It would be nice to have an earlier check in time than 4pm, but everything with the property and hosts was fantastic. »

« What a wonderful gem! The accommodation is as lovely as the pictures show. Very clean and spacious and has everything you need including some outdoor space. We were pleasantly surprised by this place and it’s one of our favourite properties to date. The location is absolutely superb. Lovely trail walk to the coastal trail but secluded enough that it’s quiet and private. There’s a trail across the fields to get to a great little pub with excellent food. "C'est très bien situé et la chambre sont très propre, dommage que la salle où on prend le petit déjeuner soit si vieillote moquette et chaises en tissus à changer, aussi le petit déj pourrait être mieux présenter ça fait un peu cantine, mais quand après on déjeune dehors face à la mer c'est agréable"

"Agréable accueil et personnel chaleureux. La chambre bénéficiait d’une très belle vue mer bien qu’un peu exiguë. Salle de bains propre et opérationnelle mais conçue en forme de couloir. Garage à 10€ la nuit pratique. Très bon restaurant avec une base de cuisine aux notes indiennes de bonne réalisation."

"Hotel well located, nice design, breakfast and food are nice, The desk people are not interested of anything, doing their job with no joy, no sympathy, it’s not lively, except for one waiter at the restaurant who served us at breakfast and lunch who was very nice and joyful Room nice but no AC…and 4th floor bit tricky to get there (not for everyone) Bathroom could be cleaned better (spotted hairs in the shower at arrival), and shower not clean the day after as well as the toilet"

The St Ives Bay Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"This hotel has seen better days but I think it is currently under refurbishment. Nonetheless it is clean, well maintained. Rooms are big and I was granted a sea view room even if I booked a regular first priced room. The breakfast is average but I likes it. The staff is nice and helpful. I like the charm of the 70s-80s Grand Hotels, if you do too I would highly recommend the St Ives Bay"
