« The egg smelling water is terrible. But the ice machine must have had a filter because it was ok. We went to the store and bought drinking water. There is a broken hand rail on the stairs leading into the hotel which could be hazardous if you didn't notice it. Bring your own bath towels, they are thin and small. If you have a river view it is nice. Nice mini frig that was cold and a nice microwave. Decent value for what you get. »

« This is a new hotel that is probably trying to reach its sweet spot. It was understaffed (IMHO) and not really fully equipped. They try to tout themselves as "Green" but do not provide containers for recycling cans, glass, paper, etc. Why in the world water glasses are not provided in the rooms I simply could not comprehend. We were told to go downstairs and pick up some paper coffee cups or, if the morning breakfast site was open, we could get plastic. Really? Just how cheap can you be? ...

« The room that we stayed in was very clean and well kept upon entering, the staff was very nice and very helpful too! One down side though was the TV that was in our room, it was stuck in Spanish and we couldn't fine a way to switch it back to English. »

« Hotel was nice & quiet and the location was unbeatable. The view of the lake was awesome. The pool area was clean, but does show some serious signs of aging. The beds in our room were extremely uncomfortable, but we were only there for 2 nights so made do. »

« Hotel was not bad, room was clean. However, when we got to the hotel there were not lights on the outside everything was dark. And we have to wait until someone comes to open the door for us. »

« I stayed at the Hampton McHenry for 10 days and had a very good time. The room was clean, large and quiet. Nice pool and small fitness center. I particularly apprieciated the breakfast buffet : good choice or meals and fresh wafers! Free Wifi with above average speed. Coffee available all day in the lobby! »

« Hôtel très proche du parc Six Flags. Acceptable dans ce niveau de prix. Petit déjeuner moyen et le principal problème, comme presque dans tous les hôtel de cette catégorie aux USA, Les assiettes, couverts et verres tout en plastique jetable, ça fait vraiment mal au cœur de voir tout ce plastique utilise une seule fois et jeté à la poubelle, c’est inadmissible et incompréhensible qu’en 2025 ce soit autorisé. »

« Such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay for my partner and I. Great location away from the city. Grounds are beautiful and the animals are such a fun addition. They are sweet and we got to have fresh eggs for our breakfast. They have ducks, chickens, turkeys, geese, and peacocks. They have snacks and toiletries in case you didn’t have it with you. Dave was so sweet and kind who was our host. Breakfast was delicious and very great deal. They have pac man as well always a plus for me. Will be...
