Experience first class accommodations at our home that comfortably sleeps 10 guests and has an oversized 1/3 acre lot with direct lake access. This home is located on a cul-de-sac in a quiet neighborhood.

The Space:
Welcome to our beautiful lake front home on Cedar Creek Lake! This tranquil cottage sits directly on a large deep channel perfect for swimming, fishing, and pulling in and out water crafts with it's own private 2-story dock and boat lift. There are large steps with railing down into the water making it easy to get in and out of the water.

*The home is accessible with no steps required from the front driveway to the inside. Driveway is pebbled.

Living/Dining Area:

The open concept living/dining area has spectacular views of the backyard and lake, abundant natural light, bright, fresh, lake décor, and serves as a spacious and comfortable great-room gathering space.

There is a large comfortable couch and loveseat that allow for a view of the backyard and lake area as well as an intimate gathering with friends and family. Two cozy swivel chairs gives an extra space for relaxing or reading area. A simple coffee table for enjoying your favorite board game. A large mounted Smart Roku TV is also in the living room to enjoy.

The dining area features a bar top table/portable island with 4 bar height stools.

Kitchen:

Fully stocked kitchen. Includes stainless steel appliances, all the essential pots, pans, baking dishes, cookware, cooking sheets, assortment of spices, etc. Extra amenities include a combo K-Cup coffee maker, blender, toaster, large stock pot, crock pot, outdoor glasses/plates/bowls, outdoor serving platters, BBQ tools, etc.

Refrigerator with freezer, dishwasher with detergent pods, and kitchen towels provided.

*Complimentary starter supply of regular coffee, creamer, sweetener, a variety of cooking spices, salt, pepper, cooking spray, and cooking oil.

*Oils and spices are shared. We do not guarantee full quantities and replace as items run out.

Bedroom 1

(sleeps 2): A bright and airy room with a beautiful king-size bed, ceiling fan, two night stands, mounted smart TV, and highly rated mattress and sheets await you. An en-suite bathroom and closet are attached.

Bathroom 1:

A lovely en-suite bathroom off bedroom 1 has a single sink with storage underneath, blow dryer, and stand-up shower.

Bedroom 2

(sleeps 2): A cozy room with a lovely queen-size bed, ceiling fan, two night stands, TV, and highly rated mattress and sheets await you. An en-suite bathroom and closet are attached.


Bathroom 2:

A lovely en-suite bathroom off bedroom 2 has a single sink with storage underneath, blow dryer, and stand-up shower.


Bedroom 3:

(sleeps 6): A spacious flex room with a double-size bed, pull-out sofa bed (full size) , and two pull-out bed accent chairs (twin size), ceiling fan, night stand, TV, and media stand.

Bathroom 3/Laundry: (Newly added)

A brand new 3rd bathroom has been added to the home. It features a walk-in shower and free standing tub, single vanity sink, and toilet.
The laundry closet is located in the 3rd bathroom and features a full-size stacked washer and dryer, laundry basket, iron, and ironing board.


The Backyard:

The backyard oasis features a large, raised deck that extends across the back of the house and overlooks the sprawling lawn and lake. The deck features a covered seating area with outdoor fireplace, outdoor snack bar with mini fridge, two comfortable swivel rocker chairs and four additional cushioned chairs for relaxing.

Stay in and cook with an outdoor BBQ grill (propane tank included) and fire pit with seating for roasting marshmallows (complimentary starter smore's kit and firewood included).

The 2-story dock has picturesque views of the water and Texas skies. The back deck lights up at night for a relaxing ambience and star gazing!

Plenty of backyard games including Kan-Jam, Corn Hole and Ladder ball to keep guests busy for hours on end! Two kayaks and life jackets are available free of charge for guests to use.

The 4 Smart TV’s have downloaded apps including Roku, Hulu, Netflix, HBO Max, etc. (There are NO LOCAL CHANNELS) You are able to log into your own accounts on any of the TV’s. Please make sure to logout before your departure.


Activities:

You’ll want to spend as much time as you can outdoors enjoying every moment on the lake. Enjoy a morning cup of coffee and gathering outdoors, swim, fishing, or kayak.

Fishing: Several species of fish (Catfish, crappie, and bass) can be caught on Cedar Creek Lake.

Your group can kick-up the fun with a night of board games!


Essentials Provided:

At the Magnolia Retreat we do our best to provide every guest with essential amenities throughout your stay, such as shampoo, conditioner, soap, toilet paper (3 rolls per bathroom), paper towels (2 rolls), laundry pods (6 pods) , dishwasher pods and trash bags.

Other things to note:

*4 car max at the property.
*Please let us know if you are planning to bring a watercraft/trailer during your stay.

Holidays: Enjoy the holidays on the lake with us! We decorate for Christmas with a beautiful tree and garland. Items can be removed if needed.

When you arrive for your stay, you will truly see and feel how special the location of this home is on the lake. The peacefulness of the neighborhood and calmness of the lake will create a relaxing and rejuvenating experience for you and your guests.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire home including 1/3 acre property, deck, and 2-story boat dock right on the lake. There is no access to hall closet and one bedroom closet as these are cleaners/owners items.

The Neighborhood:
The home is located within a 10 minute drive to grocery store and Main Street in Gun Barrel City which provides quick access to restaurants, shopping, Starbucks, and nearby state parks. Public boat launch is located less than 5 minutes from the home.

Getting Around:
You can walk/bike around the neighborhood but would recommend a car if you wanted to go to shopping or out to eat. You are just a few miles from the main road with shopping, restaurants, and attractions. You are about 18 minutes off highway 175 that runs from Dallas to Athens. You are 45 minutes from Canton Trade Days!!

Interaction with Guests:
Check-in instructions with automated door code will be sent in messaging app 24 hours prior to check-in (3pm).
