Hale O Ka Lau: A spacious 3BR condo in Mauna Lani, perfect for 6 guests.

Aloha and Welcome to Hale O Ka Lau, located in the Golf Villas complex in the spectacular Mauna Lani Resort. Just a short distance from fine dining, shopping, golf, and world-class beaches including Hapuna. Resort guests also receive an access card to the exclusive Mauna Lani Beach Club parking area for Makaiwa Bay. This stunning beach is only two minutes away within the resort itself and provides some of the best swimming and snorkeling on this part of the island. It is a perfect spot to relax under the palm trees in covered lounges or on the warm sandy beach. Enjoy fine dining at the amazing Napua Restaurant just in front of the beach. Of course golfing is about as close as you can get. Hale O Ka Lau overlooks the 4th golfing hole, which is the longest hole in the south course. Access to the Mauna Lani golf course is quick and easy. Don't miss the 15th tee before sunset for one of the most picturesque views you will ever see.

Hale O Ka Lau (O-23) features incredible golf course views along with expansive views of 3 island volcanoes, Mauna Kea, Mauna Loa, and Hualalai. The living room shares the lanai views with a vaulted two-story ceiling. The living room also provides comfortable furnishings and a large smart TV for your relaxation after a long day at the beach, golfing, or island exploring.
For those who like to do their own cooking, there is a well-stocked open kitchen with breakfast bar for four, and new dining table that seats six.
The master bedroom is furnished with a comfortable California King bed and smart TV. In this bedroom, you will have a spacious private en-suite with a walk-in shower, bathtub, and double vanity. The guest bedroom has a cozy queen bed with a separate full bathroom is just outside the room.
Upstairs you'll find a large loft and separate lounge area with extra seating and a third TV. There are also 2 twin size beds that can be converted into a King-like size bed.
It is important to remember that the unit is on the second floor of the building, it has a private walk up foyer consisting of 16 steps.

This was a lovely rental. It was clean and spacious and we had the best time. The pool was very cold but very enjoyable once we got used to the temperature. I appreciated the fitness room as well. It's a short drive to the private beach which was perfection. The Mauna Lani coffee shop nearby was also excellent.

Fantastic unit in beautiful Mauna Lani area!

This was our second trip to the Big Island. On our first trip, we stayed in downtown Kona, but ended up driving to north to the Mauna Lani area for all the best beaches! We are so glad we picked this unit and this area for our second trip! The home was perfect for my family of 5. They had everything we needed and more for a terrific vacation. The view from the lanai is gorgeous with the mountains, lava rock and golf course. The pool is a 30 second walk from the unit and was beautifully landscaped. The best part was access to the Mauna Lani Beach Club. No fighting for parking spots or beach chairs. They had super clean bathrooms and showers. The restaurant on site has tasty drinks you can take to go on the beach, and a lovely fancy vibe in the evening. The snorkeling was incredible! We saw turtles, coral, and a huge variety of fish. The property manager was helpful and responsive and made the whole stay so easy! I can’t recommend more. When we come back to the Big Island, we will stay here!!!!

Wonderful Stay at a Great Condo

The condo was very nice. Clean, well appointed, nice view, nice pool, quiet, convenient parking, air conditioning work very well. Location was great, easy to get to places on the island. Private access beach was wonderful. Needs a real grill on the balcony as with most condo rentals, electric plate griddle provided was effectively worthless.

Great property!

We stayed the last week of February and it was amazing. The location of the property is about 30 minutes from the airport/Kona which is very nice to be out of town but still have plenty of things to do around you. The pool is perfect for a relaxing day with family and the beach access is amazing. The beds were very comfortable and the property management was there to answer any questions we had. This being our first time visiting Hawaii, we will definitely be back and would choose to stay here again!

Great location and property

In all honesty the start to our stay was a bit rough as the unit was not ready on time. However, the manager worked diligently to make up for the initial hiccups and it really does seem like this was an isolated incident. The unit is great and in a very nice location. The beach club access is convenient for a family friendly beach. Fun pool too. All in all, I'd definitely recommend!

Beach access is everything

My husband and I with our 2 friends stayed here beginning of January. We are 28 years old & we wanted a more low key stay. This gave you just that! The private pool and the private beach access was really nice. Beach gets packed after 10-11 am so get there early! You do have to drive quite a ways to get to the villa, it’s pretty tucked back so plan on renting a car for sure. I think about 10 min drive after you turn off the main highway there. The place itself is a bit dated- might be time for some modern upgrades and finishes. Basically this place gives you the resort feel without being on a resort. If it didn’t have the beach access, I would not stay here again. Seriously the beach is 10/10! Also go to Tommy Bahamas, that place was AMAZING. And lava lava of course! Fresh poke from foodland was great too, the spicy Hawaiian was so yum. If you’re looking for low key, golf community vibes with a beach 5 min away… this is your place!

Relaxing Golf Villa Vacation

Golf Villas is a great place to stay if you want a quieter vacation away from the bigger resorts. We spent 12 nights in this rental. It was clean and exactly as the listing represented. Adriana, the property manager was very easy to work with and had great communication. This unit does not have its own grill but is super close to the grill at the pool. It was clean and worked great. We used the pool/spa almost everyday. Plenty of loungers and very few people. Pool is heated warm enough to swim after the sun goes down. Fitness room is well equipped but can get pretty warm. Beach Club access was so nice. Great snorkeling and always empty loungers even if we went later in the day. Napua Restaurant was under construction but still operational and the food was great - ordered to go and ate on the beach. Close to shops and Foodland. Garage has some beach toys/chairs for guest use. We did have a few nights where the a/c wouldn’t come on and it got pretty warm inside, the ceiling fans helped some. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at The Golf Villas.

Wonderful time on the Big Island!

We loved staying at your property. Thanks for sharing it us! Everything was very clean and the beds were so comfortable! We enjoyed the near by grocery store, coffee shop, pizza restaurant Knead and Bake and Juice 101 was our daughters’ favorite. Only negative is we couldn’t figure out the TV in the loft area which our girls were looking forward to. Not a problem as we were going during the day but would have been nice at bedtime. The pool was stunningly beautiful and warm!! Also, so close to your condo. Steps from where we parked our rental car. We loved being there and hope to come back someday. Many thanks!!

Great stay at Mauna Lani

It's convenient to the Mauna Lani golf courses, only 3 minutes by car. Most facilities are no more than 6-7 minutes by car within the Mauna Lani resort. If you are walking, it's more of a short hike towards the resort, hotels and restaurants. The unit was in great condition with a very good kitchen. The tub in one of the bathrooms was having problems draining but the managing agent resolved the issue the next day. The washer and dryer were very convenient for our stay. Overall, a great stay and I would stay there again.

Very Comfortable for Young Families

We stayed in this condo with our young kids (ages 4 and 7) for ten days and loved the setup and location. We alternated pool days and beach days, with quick day trips to Waimea and Volcanoes Natl Park. The kids loved sharing the loft and we didn't wish for a single thing while staying at the condo. A perfect getaway for our family.
