The property had everything expected in a all inclusive resort. The daily activities were nice. Food was good with variety. The only problem I had was the slippery floors. The resort was wonderful other than that problem.

It's a new property and I kept that in mind but the service was not good. The check in was long and chaotic. The staff seemed very confused. After a long trip to get there, the chaos was annoying. Request from the room (request for toilet tissue) did not get acknowledged till the next day after repeated request. It was my birthday and my family had arranged for me to be greeting with champagne in my room. That did not happen till the third day of my stay and after numerous phone calls. I was surprised room service had a $25 fee in an all inclusive. Swim up bar was non existant. And so was the beach. It was rough water and full of sea weed.

This is a brand new resort, so there are some edges that need to be ironed out for sure. But the staff, rooms, service and property is amazing and will no doubt be a prime destination once the grand opening happens. It is in a somewhat remote location, about 20-30 mins from the big tourist spots. The food has its ups and downs, but nothing was outright bad, just average at worst. Rooms are beautiful and there are plenty of spots to lounge and take in the views of the ocean. The pools are gorgeous, the drinks are great and the staff is friendly, fun and helpful. If you mainly want to eat and drink and relax in a pretty place and meet other travelers, this is the one. If you wish to go and explore and plan a bunch of excursions, maybe look for a place closer to the action.

We did not have any water to shower and flush the toilets at 2 am in the morning and I called the front desk for almost 1 hr and no answer we had to catch a flight so we couldn’t shower and use the wash room had to use bottle water to brush our teeth when we was checking out the person told us they have a water problem and they still charge us almost 500 usd per night without any compensation I definitely will never recommend that place.

Beautiful hotel, but while we were there it was low occupancy but they managed to miss cleaning our room for one day. Upon arrival our room had to be recleaned as the floor was dirty. Staff at the pool and bar were very friendly and attentive.

This resort has a great ambience. Aesthetically pleasing. Upon arrival it was Ghost Town. They said there was not much action on the resort because they had a big group leave and they were bouncing back from it. Which is fine, but block people from booking until you are fully prepared to run the resort so that it doesn’t disrupt the full experience. The resort was quiet and far from everything. A taxi somewhere tourists friendly is very expensive could run you about 80 to 100 USD there and back. Hotel barely has shuttles to accommodate guests. I will never be returning due to the inconvenience and lack of accommodations. We were only there for 4 nights and at least 3 of the nights we have been complaining about our card being charged multiple times. In total about $1000 USD. This was such a big inconvenience because our money was held up on our travel card due to multiple charges. being on vacation with no funds terrible. No empathy resolving this. One of the managers spoke about the issue being an anomaly and more interested in the business aspect of addressing the situation rather than tending to our needs as the guests being affected. It was a slap in the face telling us that they will give us $150 as a sign of goodwill. Our funds were returned the next day after returning home but they should have been more accommodating. We were not able to stay and discuss any further about the situation because this solution was told to us minutes before our departure to the airport,

Worst experience. Would not recommend this property. Whilst it looks great. Our experience was misleading. The hygiene, cleanliness and service awful! Ruined out trip. We checked out early because it was that poor. Looks beautiful the resort however the hotel ruined out experience.

Overall terrible experience. Staff extremely rude and not helpful. Property is only 8 months old and run down. Beach / access is dangerous. Construction and cleaning being done at the property past midnight. I’ve never been so disappointed. I was really let down here.

Lovely ocean view, not overbooked, clean, good service although slow at times (island time is in effect). Very slippery around pool areas though, some lady slipped and fell - broke her leg while we were there. New resort - specialty restaurants serve lobster and fillet mignon.

This was an amazing resort but still very new and not equipped with knowledgeable and experienced staff. They are only occupying a small amount of guests until the entire place is up and running. Many amenities are closed due to ongoing construction. House keeping barely came and also took hours to receive service when we called for fresh towels. Also the beach isn’t open to swim.. hopefully it gets better with time

Property design and layout was nice and everything was easy to access. The pool deck tiles are extremely slippery when wet which is an accident waiting to happen. Service from staff was very inconsistent in some areas extremely nice and helpful others area it was very average Food & Beverage was very good generally and dining area and food display areas very clean. Common areas and room needs some work as it relates to cleanliness and upkeep.

Beautiful resort! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Food was great - good variety. The only negative was the location. There was nothing around the property. Every time you wanted to go to town, you had to take transportation @$125 per trip for 2 people. Inspite of that, we can't wait to go back!!

Newly opened in late 2023, Sam Lords Castle is a great, modern all-inclusive stay for the whole family. The food was good, surprisingly even their buffet!

This is another walled in compound where you don’t experience ANY of the island. Moreover, the service is “spotty” AT BEST. Had to make 10-12 phone calls just to get a cab out of there. About 1/2 the workers appear to hate their jobs. Reminds me a bit of a similar experience in Tahiti. Personally, I would stay away from this place. Would not return. Not clear on Barbados. Liked Bridgetown - more authentic. But, this place, is just another walled in compound plopped down on a Caribean island where half the workers HATE their jobs - and if definitely affects the experience. We did have some wonderful service from many - but we also had some terrible service. The phones don’t seem to work well - rings and rings and no one answers. It was one of the weirdest most disappointing trips of my life - and I have been to 60 plus conutries.

beautiful setting and grounds. check in was delayed - i had reserved 3 rooms, for 5 adults and one infant. hotel only had 1 room on their reservation. checkin was delayed about 40 minutes. i also requested, several times, on my initial reservation and followup emails with the hotel before arrival, for a crib for the infant. after numerous requests when we finally got our rooms, the crib arrived at about 7 pm. myself and 2 of my family became very, very ill with what appeared to be food poisoning, it lasted from monday evening until checkout on Thursday - and continued until we got home thursday evening. we ate mostly at the buffet - the temp control of the food needs to be monitored. the power went out many, many times during the day - with little or no explanation the hotel is beautiful and new, in a beautiful location and obviously still going through adjustments. Pools are beautiful and service staff very attentive at the pools. the vacation was not as good as expected.

This property is still relatively new -- it is sparkling, but some of the staff and services are still a work in process. The facilities are great, with a private beach and several pools. The rooms and views are lovely. The biggest disappointment concerns food -- the general buffet food is just okay, and the one restaurant is difficult to get into (understaffed) and the food is not superior consistent with the price of the resort. Entertainment is local and amateurish. There is no shopping on premise or nearby.

Beautiful new buildings. Big rooms with comfortable beds, great shower. Food was very high quality. The filet mignon was high end quality.. However there are two main resterants and one pool eating area so a big lack of specialty variety. The air conditioning does not work well enough. They have high end soaps, shampoos, and lotions but the cheapest possible toilet paper with only one trash can in the large room. Cleaning staff often forget to replenish consumables without being reminded. Sometimes they mop the floor with a dirty mop leaving a film on the tile floor. But things are just starting up and are improving with time. Most staff are very pleasant and try hard to please I'm guessing that a year from now the minor issues will be mostly solved and people will flock to this place and prices will be much higher.

The staff is friendly and mean well. However, it seems many of them could use more training/experience. Replenishment of drinks in our room and even just turndown service of changing out towels and bedding seemed to be lacking. The food was below average in selection and quality. Many of the amenities are not yet completed as of construction (spa, gym) and there wasn’t much to do on the resort. There are time periods like 4:00pm-6:00pm when food is unavailable, and room service is an added charge. Restaurants took a long time to receive food and drink orders.

Beautiful new hotel and amazing location and a great beach. Very poor / non- existent management . Took over 4 hours to check in, room service is very very poor (asked for 2 towels and never got them, asked room to be refreshed and didn’t happen). No gym, no ATM, no spa, no gift shop, no airport shuttle, not even a shaving kit. Food is ok but very limited choices and almost the same every day and only one A La Carte restaurant in operation and one other grill that has a fixed menu of 3 options. Seems very poorly managed and even though staff are very polite and caring they lack training and oversight/ guidance. Somewhat disappointing as it’s been 6 months since they opened and these basic things should have been ironed out by now. Hopefully another 6 months and if management read the feedbacks things will start to improve. Will go to the Crane resort next time.
