Hotel bien placé et propre.
Une nuit passée dans cet hôtel. Très bien, sauf la climatisation mise Mi Mai. Je suis rentré dans la chambre il il faisait un froid terrible. Clim à 19 degrés toute la journée je pense.

Séjour agréable
L'hôtel est très bien situé, proche de l'autoroute et du centre ville, de l'aéroport Stansted et de la campagne environnante. A 1 h environ de Cambridge. La chambre est agréable même si elle donne sur le parking. Elle est assez spacieuse. L'hôtel est calme. Le petit-déjeuner est bon mais il manque parfois du réapprovisionnement: beurre, croissants, oeufs. Un matin, la machine à café était en nettoyage!

The stay was alright. I phoned the hotel a day after i checked out informing them that i had left my key in the room, the receptionist said she will call me back but until now they haven't call me.

People on the check in desk were very nice and helpful. Good value for money. Thank you for a great stay. Only rated cleanliness as a 4* due the the dog friendly room being a bit pungent (but i guess thats to be expected so no complaints)

don't expect a comfortable night
On arrival, the receptionist had his head buried in his computer, did not welcome us did not make us feel welcome at all. Did not ask if we wanted breakfast and gave us our room card with no direction to room whatsoever, also there are no lifts in this hotel. when we got to the room although averagely clean and sparsely furnished (Ie 1 chair for two people no dressing table) - the bed was apalling. It was so hard - it had metal springs and you could feel each individual spring through the top of the mattress. Also it looked great to have wall socket usb ports either side of the bed, however the sockets and ports on one side of the bed didn't work. when we left in the morning, both members of staff on reception ignored us. Will not stay here again, previously stayed at the Travelodge down the road - stay there its much better!

Will not stay here again!
Don’t stay here! My experience was awful. When in shower, the shower pole fell down on to my head. I tried to replace and it fell again 3 times. Shower flooded bathroom! When spoke to reception to complain & ask to be moved to another room, I was told I had to speak to the manager but he was not available, so to email him. I should not have to email the manger to request a room move due to faulty equipment. It’s the receptionist’s responsibility & something they should be able to sort. I curtailed my stay and asked for a refund. Was told I had to go back to Expedia to request this as my booking was through them! Hotel do not want to take responsibility for their substandard rooms and expect customers to do all the chasing with room requests that are not beyond the normal. Will not stay here again!!

Mixed views about our stay
Plus points: 1. at check in on Friday, excellent contact with the person on reception--very welcoming; 2. restaurant and bar staff very friendly at breakfast and evening meal; 3 comfortable bed and duvet. Negatives: a. the toliet seat in the room was loose--had not been noticed by staff? b. your website says that there are free newspapers--when I came down on Saturday morning and asked for a newspaper at reception, the receptionist said, with a straight face, that 'we only have newspapers sometimes'--this was obviously supposed to satisfy me as an answer--I was just unlucky that on the day I stayed there were none! c. our bar meals on the Saturday night were warm rather than hot + 'the parmesan style shavings' on my Mediterranean Vegetables were non-existent and the Bangers & Mash gravy did not taste like 'onion gravy' as on the menu.

Ok stay easy located near main roads
Despite asking for an accessible room near a lift of on an upper floor and with a walk in shower instead I was given a key card for a room that was not only up a number of stairs to a room which was at the furthest point away from the entrance and had a shower over a bath with no steady handles anywhere The bed was ok The room didn’t appear to have been vacuumed out but the rest was clean Breakfast good and breakfast staff great thankfully Upon arrival I was told the boiler was broken and hot water not really hot But they tried to amend this by offering a free drink in the bar but this was only on one day of a 3 day stay and hot water was fine but no water pressure for the shower which was quite poor Stay was ok but left me in pain

Two stays - mixed bag
Super friendly staff throughout, really good breakfast. Stayed twice within a week - first time had zero complaints so didn't hesitate to book a second stay, however the room on the following trip wasn't great - a little tired, a musty smell and not a great nights sleep. The staff (notably the breakfast team) are an absolute credit to the business.
