« Very neat and clean little cottage in a nice little quiet neighborhood. Close to airport and coastline of Kona. Shopping and great places to visit are within a short drive. The owner, Andrew, is nearby and always available for suggestions or questions about the area. I highly recommend staying here. »

« Hard to visualize it with the pictures. The layout is perfect for where it is. We saw a family wild pigs on the property. Love the town it’s in too. Definitely expect some bugs and geckos in the cabin (but very few in the bedroom itself). Dryer was out of gas but Marc was very responsive and found us a solution. »

« The cottage was fantastic. Had all the amenities. It was in a quiet neighborhood, with a view of a golf course, but easy driving distance to the Volcanoes National Park and the town of Volcano. We were very busy seeing the various attractions of the island, such as waterfalls, the black sand beach and South Point, and hiking in the National Park. We wished we could have spent more time at the cottage. Highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again. »

« Very nice two bedroom house about 15 minutes up the mountain from town. Great place to get away from the crowds but still close to the beach. Comes with very friendly cat which we loved to have around after ling days hiking and beaching. Definitely need a car. »

« This is a beautiful property and very peaceful and calming. We had excellent communication with the manager who really helped us by arranging a washing machine when a prior renter had broken the machine at this cottage. Also, we forgot a ring that has much sentimental value (it got mixed up in the bedding while we were packing to leave). The housekeeper turned it in and the manager contacted us immediately to coordinate it's return. We were already on our way to another part of the island but...

« This property was unique and we're so happy to chose to stay here.Pros: The views are incredible and the outdoor living spaces were very comfortable - in particular we spent a lot of time on the high top chairs, sofa bed, and two person dining table. The kitchen was fully stocked and operational with everything we needed. The bedroom was perfectly sized and comfortable. It was so easy to access Manini Beach (you can walk). By staying in Captain Cook you have a much more "locals" experience....

« The location is primo: slightly west of Waimea town, so easy 12 minutes to the beach and providing a lovely climate. The property itself is well maintained and all comforts are provided at the rental. Catrinka is a wonderful, generous and informative host. The quiet of the place is fabulous, as is the view. Two thumbs up. »

« Lovely place to stay. 1 really tall bed was an adventure to jump into but was fun being so high up off of the ground. The home was really clean and it was a really nice touch with the gift pack. The balcony is really lovely spot early mornings and evenings to chill out on too. »
