« This hotel is in the middle of major renovation, and in summer 2024 the entire area around this interstate exit is under development, so there is a lot of that traffic and noise. The front walkway was getting all new concrete done. The room was totally cleaned and bedding as expected, though the bathtub needed some minor repairs. I think Southern Illinois is wonderful, I left this particular reservation early because I didn't feel safe with some of the activity I encountered nearby. »

« The cabin was very secluded and quiet! I guess the whole county had no internet service, so the first night we had no tv and we couldn’t get anything with our phones. Luckily it came back on Sunday mid morning, but we had to go to Carbondale to watch my son play baseball for SIC. We came back watch some tv and went to bed. The place was very cozy! »

« This cabin is adorable and had all the amenities of home. It was very clean and the property itself was beautiful. It was very quiet, and was perfect for a small family. We opted to sleep on the pullout couch as the loft beds required climbing a steep ladder. This wouldn't be practical trying to get to bathroom at night. Please know the cabin is located next to another home, but we never saw anyone at that home while we were there. It is a very remote location if you want seclusion. »

« This property is in a quiet, secluded area with plenty of property to explore and enjoy family time. The house is perfectly appointed, very clean and has rustic charm with all the modern amenities. The coffee nook was a nice touch as well. The location is in the middle of all the activities we participated in, hiking, zip lining, swimming, antique shopping and wine tasting. I recommend this house and location for a trip to southern Illinois. »

« We loved how close we were to all our hikes! The bed was really comfortable and there was plenty of ac and fans to keep us cool in this 90degree heat. The carport was nice to beat the heat. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived. There was great water pressure in the shower. »

« We had the very best weekend here! So much so, that my kids are convinced that we need to live in a Tiny House and my fiancé is shopping for one haha! The location is perfect, we had everything we could have possibly needed, the hosts are the sweetest and sooo helpful and responsive! Communicating with them was an absolute delight. We plan on staying here annually with our children and we cannot wait for our next stay! »

« Overall, this was a nice place to stay. The lake is very nice and we had access to a beach and a dock. The only thing that we felt was missing was a grill. There was a fire pit outside with a grate held up with bricks, which was what we were told we could use as a bbq grill, but I think we were expecting an actual grill. Still, overall everything was great. »

« It was a short trip for us to visit Garden of the Gods. This house was exactly what we needed! The kitchen was stocked with all the basic necessities, the house was clean and smelled great, multiple bedrooms and bathrooms make it great for group trips, the laundry room was an added bonus and great to wash our clothes after hiking! We could not beat the location either. Super close to the hiking trails but also close enough to town for dinner. We will be back for more trails! »

« The camper was so cute and comfy. The only issue was the key in the box to open the camper wasn't the right one and we had to enter the building next door (as directed) and found a key that worked there. After that, it was smooth sailing! »
