The Menlo Hotel has been very quiet. The hotel is not too far from the center of Galway and has a good restaurant and bar.

Bel hôtel très propre et bien entretenu. La salle de bain très grande et une douche qui fonctionne fort et chaud. Le lit = super confortable. Safe et télévision dans la chambre. Le déjeuner est également bien garni mais devient vite redondant car il n'est pas rempli. Nous n'avons pas été au restaurant de l'hôtel seulement au bar(bistro). La nourriture était excellente (pizza, gnocchi, sandwich et pâtes). Le prix était correct.

L'hôtel est sympathique avec un petit côté désuet, mais confortable. Le personnel est sympathique et de bon conseil. Le bar est chaleureux et son offre de restaurations très bien. Le restaurant de d'hôtel offre un choix de plats locaux classiques mais bons et bien servis. Le petit déjeuner est varié et propose des produits frais.

With a new addition added to the front of the hotel, one would be led to believe this were a new fully modern hotel. However, while that was the case for the lobby and dining areas, the rooms were in the older part of the hotel and left something to be desired. While clean and remodeled, the rooms just didn't live up to the impression you get looking at the hotel from the outside. The location is also less than ideal being located on what has to be the busiest intersection in all of Ireland. Coming and going was an excersize in extreme patience. However, it is only a short drive to the heart of Galway which is wonderful.

We are truly not trying to mislead our guests and we are upset to think that this was your impression. We are also disappointed to note that you did not feel the room matched the standard of the rest of the hotel. While ,in fact, not one of the newly redecorated rooms, we are still proud to be able to allocate these rooms and we take heart from the fact that you did think it was a new room which would indicate it is still at a very fresh standard, albeit not to your taste. Fantastic hotel in a quieter part of the city. Staff were friendly and helpful. My stay included free breakfast and it was delicious with plenty of options. Room was quite large with all the necessities including a mini fridge. Highly recommend this hotel.
