It was a nice place and atmosphere was great but it was straight up moldy in there. My husband didnât get even 1 hour of sleep. We checked out early.
Galveston is pricy, if youâre gonna hang at the beach, it good. Kind of bare bones, no amenities to speak of. No bar, restaurant. Probably best for family with kids, not so good for adults.
Had so many issues with our room from bloody ice in the freezer, door lock battery going dead and unable to fix it, mold in the shower, towel and toilet paper bars broken, ac struggling to work. Three rooms in 48 hours and just not happy with it at all.
DO NOT STAY HERE. Yes itâs very near the beach but the staff and cleanliness is terrible. From the beginning when you enter the hotel smells unpleasant and not like it could be from the beach but like MOLD. We tried telling the front staff, the guy that looks like the old man from Christmas carol, but he said it was from the ocean and gave me deodorant for the smell. Didn't even bother to come check. Also my second day there the power went out. What was meant to be a chill mini vacation turned into a stressful stay. The smell was so bad it was hard to sleep.
There were literally cockroaches in the Market area where food is available. Also had several dead bugs in our room and the room was filthy. It clearly had not been cleaned in a long time.
There was mold on the ceiling of your bathroom that was extremely bad. Our room phone did not work which made it difficult to contact the front desk for extra items. I did notify the front desk once we left but they did not seem bothered by the issues.
It was awesome. Perfect place to stay with the family and perfect parking to just walk to the seawall and enjoy the beach day! Great simple breakfast đ Definitely would come back
room a little musty smelling & mold was literally all over the ceiling and bathroom. but other than that canât complain about anything else close to the beach , nice breakfast, pool was nice. just clean up a bit and i would give it 5 stars for the price.
