« Had a lovely stay! It’s such a cute cottage and the views are just beautiful! Perfect size for 2 people to enjoy a peaceful escape. Directions were brilliant, easy enough to remember and check in couldn’t have been smoother! « Cute little cottage - in a friendly village. Can recommend the Sunday lunch at Heather Glen Hotel. Nice pubs in neighbouring village of Armathwaite, plus a very accommodating shopkeeper, who went out of his way to source a lovely pork pie. Very helpful host who provided lots of useful information before our visit. The cottage was cosy, well equipped ( apart from requiring an outdoor broom - to sweep up dropping wisteria flowers, so didn’t keep walking them into house - had to get hoover out...

« The Larches proved to be the ideal place for us to hold a family celebration. Eight of us had ample space to spread out with room for more. The large modern kitchen was perfect for cooking for a group and proved to be the hub of the house to enjoy meals together. There are many good walks in the area right from the doorstep and Kirkby Stephen is easily accessible. Some window latches in the bedrooms need replacing .We would certainly consider returning and recommend to others. »

« Lovely stay at The Mains. Itâ€™s a little bit old fashioned inside but very roomy and comfortable. Itâ€™s close to Penrith for shopping and park run!
